Trade deadline discussion

Never question the system. The system is good. The system is sound. The system is life. NEVER QUESTION THE MOTHER****ING SYSTEM!!

The last one to question the system was Butler. Look how that's working out for him.
Quin was teaching him, Hughes and Dok a lesson tonight.

Hard to tell what Jazz should do anymore
Hard to tell how good Jazz are right now
Jazz have not been at full strength for what maybe 20 games now

This whole formula is stagnant and lacks promise. Just reboot a lot around Don and Rudy.

Sign House to a 2 year deal.

Rudy Gay to Dallas for 2nd rounders (they have an exception big enough for him)

Clarkson for Satoransky and 2nd rounders

Boston gets Conley and 2nds

Atlanta gets Bojan, a first from Boston, 2nds from Utah

Jazz get Collins and Smart

I ain't trading Gay unless he requests it. He brings so many good attributes on and off the floor. I think players respect him, he plays a mistake-free style of basketball, he grew with the analytics movement, works hard off the court and has good habits. Also a cheap contract.

The rest? If it works, yeah, do it. Satoransky if he can come back to life is actually a good 3rd guard in a rotation of Mitchell and Smart (which I wouldn't necessarily expect this year as much as maybe a tryout for next year or something).

Who knows if it works out but Gay was brought in for the playoffs in mind, not the regular season.

We can do this entire plan and keep Gay. We would be a little thinner on 2nds, but I'm not worried either way.

Jazz need to add a starting-caliber, two-way big wing via trade if they can. Ingles, Clarkson, O'Neale and multiple picks can all be moved. Jazz have plenty of depth.

Whose picks? Cuz the Jazz have very few they can actually deal within reason. Also, what is the utility of a weirdly-protected 2026 1st for a team trying to win now?

Jazz can probably find a deal to get a good player, but it's either because they get lucky with a Kenrich Williams type that pops, or they have to deal one of their starters.

I think the Jazz should try to get something for nothing like everyone would, but that's not very realistic. Especially if we're talking about a two-way big wing, AKA the thing every team wants more of.

Jazz may need to trade a player for draft capital in a separate deal in order put together a trade for said big wing.

This isn't Lopo. This is loco.

I think the Jazz should clear out some of the old guys and give the younger guys so playing time. What happened to Hughes? He scores 26 pts and then he hasn't played since. He should get some playing time with DM being out. I rather be giving time to Butler and developing him. Inlges looks cooked and Royce is a bench guy on a championship team. I would definitely play House more. He scored 21pts in only sixteen minutes. While Bogey and JC were clanking shots Bogey needs to rest his finger and let it heal. I know the Jazz are terrible now but during this stretch they have played undermanned. Right now their two best players are out. Maybe it is a good chance to see if Hughes or Butler can produce.

when Rudy and dm comes back were gonna win games then forget all our issues because were winning anyways. u then we are going to pick up useless players (think ersan) and then get exposed again in the playoffs. first round exit.

Mr. Ainge, please do something, I offer my mother-in-law!

We need new faces and new blood on this team, with a new direction, focus and coach. Only then will we win. This team is Fool's Gold and will be an early 1st round exit if things stay the same.

The Knicks seem ready to blow it up and play the youth. Although I like Randle, I don't think he would fit as well here now that he's established higher expectations for himself after last year.

Fournier, however, could be a good fit. His contract would seem to be the biggest issue, but if we are willing to pay the resulting luxury money, he could be a good player added on the cheap.

Utah gets Fournier
NOLA gets Clarkson
New York gets Satoransky and one of our small expirings (Hughes?)

Watching Joe Ingles play basketball just makes me sad at this point. He's just a shell of the player he was.
He’s also fat… he doesn’t have the margin for error to come in fat. Sloppy Joe needs to get his **** together

Julius Randle obviously wants to be traded.

Julius for Bogey? He gives us the stretch 4, rebounding and toughness we need, and is probably a better defender than Bogey. He was good last year. He’s also five and a half years younger than Bogey.

Now, he does have four more years left after this year, the last being at 29 million. But I feel like he brings a lot of what we need. Idk. I don’t know what options are really out there for the mediocrity we have.

Steph but they also have Green... Steph is the good cop and Dray is the bad cop... but those two never fight each other. Dray rubbed KD the wrong way and he ended up leaving.

We have too many good cops. Been watching a lot of Yellowstone (no spoilers I'm not caught up just yet) and so now I am comparing everything to that... Ainge has to be John Dutton (kevin Costner) because not only to they have an age kinda similar look type of vibe but also because he is going to have to call the shots here... Rudy is Rip... does all the dirty work... loyal AF... underappreciated. Donovan is Kayce... I guess. One of the problem's is Quin is our Jaime... smart, polished, but he's a coward at heart and afraid to ruffle feathers. The other problem is we have no Beth. One of the best scenes is Costner realizes **** is about to go down and tells Beth he needs her to stick around. She asks "who do you need me to fight?"... he says "everyone". Shes a loose cannon and fearless... she fights everyone around her... including her own family... but she's necessary.

We don't have that... we have too many guys who are great guys, normal dudes, too well centered and adjusted. We need some mother ****ers that are out there to fight... and sometimes they fight everyone... including our team and coach. It needs to come from the right place but sometimes it might border on being cancerous. No more fighting this passive aggressive ********... I need guys separated on the bench. We need some crazy to bring out the fight in these guys. Draymond is as good at that as anyone... he gonna fight the refs, the other team, fans, and sometimes his teammates and coaches. Want to **** up that rotation again... you gonna hear about it.

We don't have one frickin smidge of that... and it started with DL and Quin. Quin is too afraid to lay into the guys... or the refs. We have a lot of good citizens... we need a crazy Beth. Haven't had it since Jae left.

Yes we do. The problem is there aren’t a lot of guys out there like that. Jae, Morris bros, Tucker…and they aren’t being traded.

Btw this is why brought up Draymond this off-season. And virtually everyone here balked at it. Hilarious how much some of you clowns overvalue our players and don’t recognize how vital dude is to the Dubs. Whatever it’s moot. They weren’t going to trade him for our garbage.
