We havent heard a ****ing peep about Clarkson being on the trade block since he has been here. They have to get rid of Clarkson. ****ing have to do it.

Well here’s another thing: if Grant is an expiring that year, ****, maybe that makes it extra valuable to get him now. It would serve multiple purposes:I agree. If we can use our older guys, expirings, etc by this deadline or this summer to add a good, young piece next to Don and Rudy, we have a really good chance of spending big in summer 2023 on a guy like Grant or Brown. I don't think we can get Brown or Grant now, but maybe we could get them in 2023.
I think something happens. It will either be:I just dont see how anything happens seeing as the Jazz are:
1. Too cheap. They are dealing 2nd rounders to save pennies and dealing 1st rounders to save money as well. And that was when the team had hopes of being elite again this year. Now that we are back to just being a very good team, I doubt Ryan Smith is going to suddenly start spending. I don't see them dealing expiring contracts to get back long-term money like a Marcus Smart. Best case scenario is we trade Ingles for a dude(s) who makes around MLE money next year, so it would essentially act as our MLE signing for 2022-2023.
2. They don't have any good picks to trade
3. Clarkson is either untradeable without giving up assets, the Jazz are unwilling to trade him because Mitchell likes him, or the Jazz are unwilling to trade him because they think the gamble of him getting hot at the right time is better than what they could get for him. The Jazz for some stupid reason gave dude a player option, so he likely has 2 years left on his deal after this year.
So basically I think the only thing the Jazz do is maybe trade Ingles for a dude like Justin Holiday and Torrey Craig if Indy shops these dudes and realize they can't get back any draft capital for them, so they simply deal them for an expiring contract.
That would mean they have Holiday/Craig under contract next year for around 10 million combined. That might be too much for Utah tbh.
Andy Larsen said some ****, but I kinda wonder if that’s him trying to manifest something everyone knows needs to happen rather than sourced intel. We havent heard a ****ing peep about Clarkson being on the trade block since he has been here.
They got rid of Neto. Reacquire him. Give Rudy a buddy.I have zero problem bringing in guys that players get along with if they are homies. As long as you don't pay a large premium to do so its just fine. Part of getting your best out of players is having them happy. Having guys around that are cool with each other will likely make them happier.
I'd actually love to land one of Rudy's homies. Not to create clicks but to help him have someone that understands him and can tell him when he needs to chill. Who does Rudy vibe with on this squad? Hassan?
Larsen has indicated he's on the block in a couple different pods. I want to say I heard some rumblings elsewhere like Jake Fisher. We havent heard a ****ing peep about Clarkson being on the trade block since he has been here.
Good points too.Well here’s another thing: if Grant is an expiring that year, ****, maybe that makes it extra valuable to get him now. It would serve multiple purposes:
-good player now, builds the argument that we’re a sick franchise
-expiring contract to chase Brown
-potential option to pivot back to if Brown falls through as we’d have bird rights.
We’d also know how he actually works on THIS team instead of guessing/hoping.
Justin Holiday would be a really good fit, near perfect.
He shoots a ton of 3's and he makes 38% of them.
Plays solid defense. Has length. He's good enough to be a starter if called upon.
I advocated signing him instead of Clarkson back when we re-signed Clarkson.
Hard to think that the Pacers won't be able to get a 2nd rounder out of him though, so maybe Utah should pony up (but they have nothing to really pony up with sadly).
The best case scenario would be the Jazz do the Ingles trade for Holiday/Craig and are somehow able to trade Clarkson for some 2nd rounders. Use those 2nd rounders to sweeten the deal for Indy to get Holiday/Craig.

His name is out there A LOT! I think he is really available. If the deal of Hart and stuff for CJ is out there I can't imagine something around Hart and JC is completely out of the realm of possibility. If you are NOP and you are having to add stuff and take a huge CJ deal.. maybe the JC deal where you get a lil something something is a nice substitute?
Hey, if being unvaccinated makes him cheaper to get, I'm not complaining.I think he'd be great. Better against the guys Royce struggles to stay with. Willing and good shooter.
He is unvaccinated and that likely hurts his value quite a bit. Someone brought up that our protocols would change because of him as well. Not sure how big of a pain it is but he may get moved for less than we think.
Now that they are off of Levert's deal they could become a cap room team (I know its Indiana... but still). We might help them out by taking Holiday and Craig so next years books are even cleaner.
Hart will be president of the player's union one day.Hart has been on my radar for so long. I think he's a good player and one that we need, but I also never thought they valued him and he didn't want to be there either. He only got $12M guaranteed this summer. That contract was signed to be traded....wouldn't even surprise me if they had an informal agreement that they would promise to trade him.
I thought his trade potential was dying out because he's played so well this year....but you're right his name is out there more than ever. Would love to get him on this team. And on the friend thing, he is good friends with Mitchell but Josh Hart is a dude that everyone likes (except Omari Spellman lol) . He's great for chemistry. I remember him seeing on a gaming podcast with Rudy Gobert.
It removes the NY and CA teams from bidding as well.Hey, if being unvaccinated makes him cheaper to get, I'm not complaining.
