Trade Deadline

LOL. They probably said no before they got the words and a pick out of their mouths. I wouldn't trade hood for Teague straight up.

Probably went something like this:

Utah: Hey Hawks, how's the weather? Anyways, we'd like to help you out with your PG problem. What do you want for Teague?

Hawks: Weather is fine. Teague huh? Well How about Hood...

Utah: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I needed that thanks. no, but really...

Hawks: no, really. Hood and...

Utah: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH *click*

Hawks: Utah? Hello? Hello...?

Jazz are going to package Trey Burke in a trade for George Hill.

I'd love this trade. Love it. Our bench would be weaker (and I think Hill is a worse perimeter shooter) as far as scoring goes but at least we're getting Burks back soon and Lyles and Neto have developed. But in general, Hill would be really solid.

Locke just tweeted this:

"Top will pop on deadline today. Teams re-group at noon Wed. hard to get deals done without deadline but better to get done before practice"

I am reading that as a hint that if something is going down with Utah it will likely be today.

That sounds like repackaging a tweet that won sent yesterday... Would be nice though.

Let's trade Booker, the last thing I want to see is the Jazz to re-sign him at the end of the season!

I'd love to dump Booker, Pleiss, and Burke (three guys I don't see "fitting" here long-term) and one or two 2nds for Hill and Christmas or Whittington.

Hill is solid but he's probably a bottom 10-15 starting pg in this league and only has 1.3 years left on his contract. I'm not sure the Pacers could get much more than that. If they hesitate, give them the GS pick instead of the 2nd(s).

Hill-Exum-Neto
Hood-Burks
Hayward-Ingles
Favors-Lyles-Christmas/Whittington
Gobert-Withey

That's 12 guys for next year at around 60.4M I think. 13 if we keep CJ. We'd have our 1st, 2nd(s) and FA to round this core out sweet as hell. I think I'd love a stronger guy who was real versatile and could play some 3/4 as Ingles isn't some stud and Lyles is a bit weak.

Knicks looking for rotational guys on expiring deals. What about Booker for Jose Calderon? Maybe Utah adds in one of their many 2nd rounders. Calderon is a good shooter and veteran who can help secure the PG situation for the playoff push.

Ugh. I'd rather have Neto I think.

Cavs should go after Calderon.

I would only want Calderon if we're sending out at least one PG. Since they're young and cheap, we should get back another asset. Galloway might be too steep, and O'Quinn doesn't seem terribly necessary at this stage.

Not bad actually.

I know, right? Add some Jazz draft picks to the ATL deal and call it good.

HOU IN:

Teague/Horford/Hood/Booker/Pleis

HOU OUT:

Howard/Harden

ATL IN:

Howard/Burke/GSW 1st/2nd Rnd Pick

ATL OUT:

Teague/Horford

UTA IN:

Harden

UTA OUT:

Hood/Burke/Booker/Pleis/GSW Pick/2nd Rd Pick

So Detroit just ripped off Orlando... Harris for Jennings and Illyasova... reportedly no picks.
