Trade for Jabari Parker

I don't remember him being so explosive, he's not getting traded though...I think a lot of people on here don't realize trades like these or any of the other proposed trades around here just don't happen...

Jabari Parker doesn't have some special, unique, snowflake of a skillset or athletic profile, he's just advanced at what he does.

There's other players like him, like Billy Preston, that they can wait for and not pay such an absurd premium for.

Thats my issue with many of these "Hack - overpay trade idea" threads.

They're woefully short-sighted.

Jabari with the most athletic looking play in the entire Rising Stars Game.

Seriously, can we just stop with this nonsense that he's fat and can't play?

Jabari is special. There's no doubt in my mind he is going to be an allstar.

Maybe if he gets a 3 point shot someday. Right now he is a net negative player due to his defense and inability to space the floor.
Statistically he is worse in every category compared to his rookie year, not a sign of progress at all.
Maybe its rust from the ACL surgery, so we'll give him a little more time.

Yra Jabari sucks Hood is better
Hayward is better then Klay Thopson
Favors is a lite Duncan
Gobert is on his way to being best center in the game

Yal just stay put because you have a dynasty on your hands

Lulz of course it is nothing special right now but they are building something here. Pretty nice defense/ball movement young team they are building right now.

Cannot you see this as a basketball court God you are?

I know it's been discussed at length, but who says no to trading for him at this point in the season? He's supposed to play again in February, so we'd have a few months to make sure he's healthy before giving him the max. It feels like SOMEBODY will give it to him, and there's no way that the Bucks are going to be in a position to match at that point. I think trading for Bledsoe has probably shifted their plans for him, I bet they let him go to the highest bidder by the trade deadline.

Maybe Hood and Favors for Jabari and Henson?

Agree with all this except the trade. I wouldn't include Hood. Like you said they are more than likely going to move him and he is a huge injury risk in reality. Bucks could use Favs and we could use Jabari.

If you want Jabari, the Jazz are going to have to "lose" the trade. It'll look like an overpay to outsiders. Something like Favors/Exum/pick for Jabari/Teletovic/Dellavedova. Salaries don't match (Jazz would have to shed another 5.5mil in salary), but it'd be something along those lines I think.

Im substantially less bullish on Jabari now that he has torn up the same knee twice. But Id still make the trade and max him even with risk. As long as the trade didnt include Mitchell or Gobert.

Seriously, who cares about the rest of the pieces and the cap room. We arent making good use of the cap anyways. Id rather pay Jabari the moon and suck. Even if he never played another season. Id rather do that and tank the next 4 years and get some help just in time for Mitchell's best years. Hopefully Rudy's too.

Everything else is just a waste of time. We aren't winning jack **** with this squad or any other squad we try to put together by over paying average players in free agency.

Taking a risk on Jabari is infinitely better than throwing money at players not worth it and are barely better than the best D leaguers. Its just spinning your wheels.

Ita been 20 years since the jazz were legit contenders. The current method isnt working. #morals.

I like exum and hood as filler for the roster, but those pieces can be added easily. I'd like to have jabari more than anyone on the roster outside of Mitchell and Robert.

Jabari would also fit really well with those two.

Jabari Parker also works better for the timeline than drafting a 20 year old rookie next year. It's a risk worth considering.

You forget the market we are in. Sure we could get similar peices but Hood and Exum are invested in the Jazz, they were drafted here and they want to succeed HERE. That investment shouldnt be undersold.

Please what has Parker done to earn a MAX contract. Let's ignore the fact that he has blown out the same knee twice. The love for Parker is almost at the level of Jimmer on this board. The Jazz need players with talent which Parker has but they also need players who don't get hurt every year. We already have Exum who can't stay healthy and now people are ready to MAX a guy who has a bad knee.
