Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I like Lonzo. I’m worried he’s done. I’d take a chance on him though… at this point we need a risky move to pay off. If it doesn’t work and we rebuild our cap space is not that important…
What are Chicago’s needs and/or may they look to get off his money?

Dallas got Wood for a first… damn that’s cheap for wood.

Bogey would be welcomed… they suck at shooting. Expiring would be a benefit I think.

How can you not understand that most of the people arguing with you don’t only love Gobert and hate Donovan? It’s very strange. First, the vast majority of those arguing with you want to trade both and get tons of long term assets. They don’t want to delay the inevitable and end up worse by going with Donovan, “retooling” and then him leaving. They don’t want to keep both because we have done that and it has run its course. They don’t want to only keep Rudy and trade Donovan because what we get back also would not be good enough and delay the inevitable. Second, they (and most definitely me) hate your arguments for keeping Don and getting rid of Gobert. It’s unintelligent basketball analysis. It’s like arguing with a Qanon believer. It’s so frustrating. The ironic thing is that you say we are all obsessed with Gobert, When in fact you are obsessed with Donovan and mediocrity. Go ahead and ask each one of the people that you and Lopo get into fights everyday if they love Gobert and hate Donovan or if they prefer Gobert’s playing style to Donovan, but would rather just tear it down and start over. I’m guessing it is going to be close to 90%+ for a full rebuild. The other reason they argue with you is because it is in fact looking like the Jazz are going with your preferred Donovan option and the commenters know how bad it is going to end up. At BEST a second round exit with the retooled team, but odds are fringe playoff team or lottery team. It is infuriating to argue with someone that can’t see this and thinks it will be better than it currently is. That is why it gets more personal on the Don and Rudy argument. We appreciate what Rudy does defensively and in his personal life. He isn’t only about his brand or being the top star or going to a bigger market. He absolutely wants to be here. That is what we appreciate, but at the same time we can understand that we aren’t going to achieve more with Gobert and just want to rebuild.

In your mind, with an Atlanta trade or something similar, what is the ceiling for the Jazz? I’m very interested in your answer.

Also, since it looks like we are going the Donovan way minus Gobert and becoming the Utah Hawks, how about a gentleman’s bet where we wait 3-4 years and come back and see who was more right. If I win you have to come on here an post a new topic that says you and Lopo and UtahJazz32 are dumbasses and don’t know much about NBA basketball. If you win then I will do the same?
Haha kcgar doesn’t post much but comes off the top rope Macho Man style.

Takes Dallas out of the Rudy equation… though I don’t think they had the assets for it anyways.
I don’t think they were a good trade match unless we also moved Don… which is a no go for Ryan.

I don’t waste my time talking about trading both because it is not going to happen. I don’t know why so many people do it because it literally will not happen this off-season. Gobert is going to get moved and that is what I discuss everyday because it is the inevitable. I believe it’s the right move and so does the FO. I don’t know what else to tell you.

Let’s go get Jonathan Isaac.
I say take all the swings on the injury prone Lonzos and Isaacs… worst case they get hurt and we suck… stealth tank activated.

Not sure they’d just take an expiring for him… but the cost couldn’t be very much higher

We also get to see Wood on a good team finally and see if he’s just a big stats on a ****** team player.

Damn, that's a great trade for Dallas...I can't believe that's all they had to give up for Wood.
Sometimes it’s easy to get Wood… you barely have to try.

Look Houston still has the apple of my eye… go get Tate now that they just selling **** off. He’s a free agent in a year… he ain’t staying there. Gotta find a pick or something to send their way but damnit they having a sale… get it done.

The FO is going to come out of this Rudy trade smelling like roses. Literally all of NBA Twitter is laughing at the Hawks thinking they’re giving up too much.
