Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Everything always comes back to that Dok pick. Now we’ll be trading Rudy for a deal centered around McDaniels. Smh.

Hope Ainge knows how to ****ing draft.
I would actually be rather pleased if the Jazz could get McDaniels, Kessler, and a couple of 1sts for Rudy (+ whatever matching garbage).

Here’s what the Knicks can offer picks wise:

2023 Knicks 1st (unprotected)
2023 Mavericks 1st (protected 1-10 through 2025)
2023 Pistons 1st (protected 1-18 in 2023, 1-18 in 2024, 1-13 in 2025, 1-11 in 2026, 1-9 in 2027)
2023 Wizards 1st (protected 1-14 in 2023, 1-12 in 2024, 1-10 in 2025, 1-8 in 2026)
2024 Knicks 1st (pick swap option)
2025 Knicks 1st (unprotected)
2026 Knicks 1st (pick swap option)
2027 Knicks 1st (unprotected)
2028 Knicks 1st (pick swap option)
2029 Knicks 1st (unprotected)

Um...The timing of this post is hilarious.

How tall is Steph Curry? 6'2" in shoes. And he is their primary scoring option.

Also, donovan mitchell reached more three pointers than steph curry at this point in his career. In fact, steph had ankle issues and was basically trade bait for the better part of 3 years before the warriors figured things out.

And the Warriors played kevon looney at center. He is a defensive center with hardly any offensive moves. And he is not paid like gobert so they can afford to have Wiggins, Klay, and Green on the court.

Spoiler alert. The definition of your post just won the NBA championship.

Stop it, sir. Curry is a transcendent player.

I'm starting to believe that Donovan privately requested a trade at some point in the last month.

It's possible that Donovan's camp said something before the draft and that this is one of the reasons the Knicks punted on their lottery pick in favor of acquiring future picks.

Otto Porter jr. to Toronto apparently. Are they bringing in more wings because they are going to lose a few in a Gobert trade?

I could see that. I’m guessing what’s more likely is that they’re just trying to acquire as many switchable parts as possible and will also try to upgrade at C a little via FA. If they can’t, then maybe they make a trade mid-season for Gobert or someone else.

It can actually be a pretty clean trade. They have a huge expiring contract on a player they don't want... who would be a solid tank commander for a while that we might be able to flip later.

Minny also signed Anderson yesterday which means McDaniels is a loss that is a little easier to swallow.

And to be perfectly effing honest... I'm truly only interested in the 23/25/27/29 unprotected picks and pick swaps... the other stuff is cool but its nickels and dimes. Give me all the quarters and you get Don for Fournier and whatever... give me the nickels and dimes and I take Randle and you can have Bogey for the extra picks.

Westbrook would be my favorite tank commander candidate. Lots of entertainment value while actively losing games. He has proven value at dropping the win total for whatever team he plays for.

I don't think the Lakers could give us anything worthwhile to take on his contract though?

i actually like the deal for Sacramento too... the pick is lotto protected then goes to like top 10.
