What's new

Trey Burke is still garbage.

I'm supposed to crap on Trey just because you did? Guys like you make me want to cheer for him, and I've never even liked him.

What's your problem then? You've never liked him, so...? Are you just here to attack me or do you have something to say about trey?

Defenders generally sag off Burke and give him the open jumpers, so he is doing exactly what he has to. Indiana didn't and Burke killed them with a spot on pass to Favors. He is a very capable passer but teams are making him prove he can shoot the ball. It's the scouting report for every team on Burke.

He chucked it when he was playing with the first unit too. It's not just him having wide open jumpers, it's his play style.

He has below average length and athleticism, the jump shot has to be his weapon. If he hits his shots will stick in the league, if not will wash out. Most of us have come to terms with this a year ago.

What's pathetic is not talking about the post or the subject and just saying that I'm pathetic.

To be fair, since the post doesn't have to be proven, there's really no point in talking about it. Only other relevant thing in this thread is the opening poster.

Well because there is a lack at the PG position sure, it will happen on occasion. You will see more of Burks and Hood in crunch time though. Just watch the end of close games and see who Snyder trusts more in close games.

I don't think it's about trust, it's more about Quin wanting to switch on defense and not worry about a 6'0 PG getting switched on a SF.

One correction Burke has a 6'6 wing span so he doesn't have average length for his position.

And, of course, when you go to the numbers, you know, the stuff that actually proves things, Burke and Burks have pretty much provided the same exact impact on the team, yet Burke will get roasted and Burks championed.

My problem is that the guy has a great attitude despite playing off the bench, he is playing to his max capabilities and improving considerably, yet you create a thread calling him "garbage." If you weren't hiding behind an anonymous username and someone called you out as trash in a public forum how would you feel about it?

All I know is that I feel pretty confident whenever Burke has an open 3 point shot, and that is all I really care about.

As far as passing, it's not like Burke is a ball-hog. He just isn't an extremely skilled passer, but it's not like he is a terrible passer like some people here think. He has been doing plenty of playmaking the last few games.

Burke's assist percentage actually pretty much matches Raul Neto's. Burke has a higher user rate, so that explains that, but due to the fact he is passing the ball some and makes open 3s, the Jazz team assist percentage is notably higher when he's on the court than when he is off the court. That means the Jazz get more assists as a team when he's on the court than when he's off.

EDIT:

But again, probably don't have to prove myself, so ignore all that.

your heart has been bleeding a lot lately

Not in the 2013 draft. Burke's production this season is close to inline with his draft position relative to other players picked in 2013. It's arguably a bit of a miss, but far from a huge one.
That draft sure did suck.
I wish we would have just traded out of it instead of trading up

This
Right now he is the best pg we got

responding to one poster's comments in two different threads constitutes "following"? Good lord, that means every poster on this board is clinging to my *** hairs.

Still, why would a jaded whore follow you around any more than a new one who's trying to snatch territory from established whores?
Just one of the many fascinating things about whore culture. Conservationists have put tracking collars on them and discovered that for some reason the jaded ones are practically magnetized to tall young Canadian liberals in skinny jeans.
