Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

You bring up the 2nd Amendment and you don’t want to give up your guns, yet you don’t bring up how you wanted Kamala who is for mandatory gun buyback. You don’t even stand up against this.

Mandatory gun buyback - Far Left

There is no political reality in which this happens. If Democrats had 100% of the House, Senate, and the White House it would be a challenge to pass mandatory gun buybacks. It just isn't real, it is a scare tactic.

Let’s talk about how you want a department of speech. You want the government to govern our speech and online communication.

Government speech control - far left

No one has ever suggested anything like a "Department of speech." This is pure nonsense.

Let’s talk about expanding the courts. You’re upset that the SC is leaning more right than left. But you cheer to expand the court only if the left does it. I don’t hear you wanting to expand the court now.

Court expansion - far left

The courts have not been expanded. This is not a thing.

Wealth and Billionaires. So anti wealth and increase of taxes. Blame issues on wealth and people who are successful.

Anti Capitalist - far left

Making billionaires pay their fair share is Pro-Capitalism imho. What's going on with our mega corps and 100 billionaires is a glitch that is going to blue screen capitalism.

New Quinnipiac poll. One month in…

Voters were asked about Trump's handling of seven issues...

  • immigration issues: 46 percent approve, 49 percent disapprove, with 5 percent not offering an opinion;
  • the economy: 44 percent approve, 48 percent disapprove, with 8 percent not offering an opinion;
  • foreign policy: 44 percent approve, 48 percent disapprove, with 8 percent not offering an opinion;
  • trade: 42 percent approve, 49 percent disapprove, with 9 percent not offering an opinion;
  • the federal workforce: 41 percent approve, 49 percent disapprove, with 10 percent not offering an opinion;
  • the Russia - Ukraine war: 40 percent approve, 44 percent disapprove, with 16 percent not offering an opinion;
  • the Israel - Hamas conflict: 38 percent approve, 47 percent disapprove, with 15 percent not offering an opinion.

Thousands of IRS employees have been fired.

Mid February is the exact perfect time to fire a bunch of IRS employees. I mean they don't actually do anything for the U.S. anyway.

Plausible deniability through omission, ok. But the deafening silence on what is obviously a push to rewrite the foundation of our country by fiat speaks far louder than words.
You think what is happening is a “rewrite the foundation of our country”. That is a hyperbole statement. Please show me this, with information and proof. Not just because you don’t like what he is doing.
You just brush any criticism of Trump aside by saying, in essence "what about Biden", or by saying "can't you just see the good". It is again a way to maintain plausible deniability based on omission.
See you only see it one sided again. Show me where I criticize Biden. Show me where I criticize Trump. I almost never do it to either. You just want me to say the same things you believe and I dont believe that. You want everyone here to criticize Trump every single day and every single way.

It is also a refusal to take a real position for fear of being outed as a MAGA cultist. You come up with half-assed acknowledgements like "of course I don't support that" when chided. Otherwise you keep your mouth shut.
Look at what is being posted all the time. It’s Trumps Crash… Yes, it is Donald Trump who flew the plane into the ground and flipped it upside down. Why would I comment on something so stupid. Show me where I comment on Biden sniffing all the kids? I don't say anything because it’s a stupid post. Why don’t you call out your leftist posters about posting stupid **** all the time.

Either you are a troll, like the others that "liked" your post, or you are a closet MAGA cultist. So really, I am giving you the benefit of the doubt on the first one, but the second one sure is a strong likelihood.
I don’t think you know what a troll is. You call everyone a troll who doesn't agree with you. I don’t post meme’s making fun of all the left politicians. I don’t post stupid **** just to piss off the other side.

I post stats, data and information show why things are not what people are saying.

Let’s take for example you sitting back and letting Thriller keep posting a know hoax of flashlights up asses. You don’t call him out. You don’t call him a troll. His posts are troll posts, you keep your mouth shut.

As far as the Nazi designations, it isn't just an unthinking appellation or a snide comment, rather it is a reasoned deduction based on the evidence and words from the man's own mouth. Can you refute these aspects of fascism in regards to Trump's behavior?
Yes I can refute the aspects of fascism in Trump’s behavior.
URL unfurl="true"]https://www.newamerica.org/the-thread/is-trump-a-fascist-peter-bergen/[/URL]

Can you even consider it before the inevitable "but that's a left-wing periodical"? As you say, we just refuse to see all the good coming from Trump (we are still waiting on the list of 10 things you view as positive from this administration, hell let's cut it to 5)

5 positive things from Trumps first month

1. Border crossings shut down
2. AI Infrastructure getting $500 billion in private investment
3. Negotiated release of 11 American Hostages
4. Protected Women in sports
5. Doge

Hell lets expand it to 10

6. Expanded access to vitro fertilization
7. Sovereign Wealth Fund
8. Restored a 25% tariff to steel and aluminum imports - Great for American manufacturers
9. Remain in Mexico policy
10. Reinstated with back pay for service members who were discharged for COVID vaccine mandates

That wasn’t very hard…

but I can turn that around right here and say you refuse to see the connections between his behavior and behaviors consistent with past fascist leaders and dictators. Care to even attempt to refute even just 2 or 3 of those points? How about just this point, where he yearns for generals like Hitler had?
You want me to refute a “Claim”… be serious.
He said - He said… refute this because this one guy said Trump is like Hitler. Refute it.

This is a garbage request.

So if you cannot engage in honest dialogue
You give this ultimatum to me, yet you keep your mouth shut when your tribe does it daily. DAILY.

, providing a back and forth as several of us have been attempting to do, then we must surmise you are just a troll.
You mean Thriller, the one who never responds… Yes I’m the troll. I have been engage in actual open and honest dialogue for years. You just don’t approve of my opinions or thoughts.

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all of us command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

I really don't follow hockey, but it's all about being happy the fascist didn't get a win for his pleasure from this game. Sidney Crosby never loses a trophy with Canada.

Nobody should claim Trump believes in free speech. He does not. And nobody is more petty, when it comes to him reacting to speech that does not conform to “Donald Trump Reality”, than the current president. If you disagree with him, on anything whatsoever, and the disagreement makes news, he will do everything to crush you right out of existence. You must agree with everything the president says, claims, recommends, describes as the truth, or you will be held up to public ridicule, declared “the enemy within”, and isolated as un-American.

Most every Trump accusation is really a Trump confession. So his attacks on the free speech of his fellow citizens is his way of saying: “you will use the words I use, or you will pay for not agreeing with every thing I say and claim”. There is very little, if anything, that a Trump supporter/Trump apologist can say that would lead to any conclusion other than: free speech in the United States is conditional, whenever the free speech involves discussing Trump. Agree with him, or be held up by Trump as “the enemy within”.

I’m pretty sure Trump’s idea of what speech Americans are free to use, is not really a freedom at all, in his authoritarian, Strongman world view. Trump is about dividing the world among authoritarian Strongmen. He wants nothing whatsoever to do with the freedom to think on one’s own: you will think the way Donald Trump thinks, or he will stamp his feet, and hold you up as “an enemy of the United States”.

And the bottom line to this approach: it has nothing to do with free speech. In fact, it borders on expunging freedom to THINK as one wishes…Wonder what else in the First Amendment Trump will abrogate?

Trump apologists MUST agree with Trump. Ironic that Trump apologists have the balls to tell us what the Truth is, when they have actually given up the right to think on their own two feet. They will give up many freedoms if Trump demands they do so. And this is how it works in the United States? No, this is how it works in “Cannot contradict our leader Donald Trump’s America”.

“The president of the United States is demanding that American citizens use only the words that please him, and he is punishing those who refuse to do so. This is the essence of his attacks against the Associated Press, which he has barred from the White House for referring to the Gulf of Mexico as “the Gulf of Mexico.” He is now demanding that the news agency acquiesce to his renaming of the body of water. “We’re going to keep them out until such time as they agree that it’s the Gulf of America,” Donald Trump said to reporters earlier this week.

This is not how it works in the United States of America. In our nation, free speech is a God-given right. It is not something that Trump, Elon Musk, or anyone else can grant or take away. Americans are born with the right to speak freely, and to publish freely. In America, as I have written previously, we are free to criticize the government, which is accountable to the people, not the other way around”.

Your post makes no sense. We are talking about far left policies and supporting them.

How about this, you list off far right policies. Not moderate but far right.

Good faith answer for my mispost.

I don’t give a **** what she said. She was a terrible candidate and I never liked her. I rooted for her because look at the country now eh? But whatever, I’ll give you all the Kamala stuff. She sucked.

I’ll even give you all your “left wing” concerns you listed. Overstepping on most, some I disagree with you. The details bore me and I hate typing on this **** so I’m moving on.

So considering your concerns. Describe for me how the current direction Trump has taken us is the better option, foreign and domestic policy.

My claim: It’s not conservative. It’s radical and unhinged, and cruel to those with less in this country. It’s a complete overturning of our foreign alliances, trade, and our national economy.

Please answer the question above. I don’t need Twitter posts, I’ll take your word for it. No blaming others to justify actions. I want solution based answers.

Revenge will also be accepted and appreciated for intellectual honesty.

Eat a dick.

President Donald Trump is preparing to dissolve the leadership of the U.S. Postal Service and absorb the independent mail agency into his administration, potentially throwing the 250-year-old mail provider and trillions of dollars of e-commerce transactions into turmoil.

Trump is expected to issue an executive order as soon as this week to fire the members of the Postal Service’s governing board and place the agency under the control of the Commerce Department and Secretary Howard Lutnick, according to six people familiar with the plans, who spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear of reprisals.

Trump’s order to place the Commerce Department in charge of the Postal Service would probably violate federal law, according to postal experts. Another executive order earlier this week instructed independent agencies to align more closely with the White House, though that order is likely to prompt court challenges and the Postal Service by law is generally exempt from executive orders.

“This is a somewhat regal approach that says the king knows better than his subjects and he will do his best for them. But it also removes any sense that there’s oversight, impartiality and fairness and that some states wouldn’t be treated better than other states or cities better than other cities,” said James O’Rourke, who studies the Postal Service at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. “The anxiety over the Postal Service is not only three-quarters of a million workers. It’s that this is something that does not belong to the president or the White House. It belongs to the American people.”

Americans consistently rank the Postal Service among their most-beloved government agencies, second only to the National Park Service (trump recently fired a ton of National Park Service employees. Just another agency trump wants to destroy). A 2024 study by the Pew Research Center found more than 70 percent of Americans had a favorable view of the agency, a view that was similar among Democrats and Republicans.

Trump’s first administration sought to test the agency’s independence. Steven Mnuchin, Trump’s first-term treasury secretary, attempted to control the 2020 hiring process that brought DeJoy to the Postal Service, and a task force run out of Mnuchin’s department recommended dramatically shrinking the scope of the agency and preparing it for privatization via an initial public offering.

In the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, Trump threatened to withhold emergency assistance from the Postal Service unless it quadrupled package prices.

Ahead of the 2020 election, Trump said the Postal Service was incapable of facilitating mail-in voting because the agency could not access the emergency funding he was blocking. The Postal Service ultimately delivered 97.9 percent of ballots from voters to election officials within three days.

Watching Maple Leaf rise in Boston yesterday and see no American fans left while Canadian Hockey team celebrated and sung our national anthem on American Ice was such an awesome " In your face orange clown" moment. I would have paid to see his smug face after that McDavid goal ( of course if he was even watching). It was like Jesse Owens winning 4 golds in front of Hitler in 1936 Olympics..... after all his arian race superiority claims to get a a black athlete win gold medals on your soil and rub it in your face...Exactly same vibes:). Too bad orange turd was not there to present trophy, that would be even more glorious ahahahaha.

Somebody said very well - Trump supporters are either billionaires or idiots. Wonder who in this chat is billionaire....?
