Tonight reminded me of November 11, 2006 when Deron Williams took over the game down the stretch and for the first time you said "Wow, how good could this kid be?"
Now, I don't think Hayward will be as consistently great as he was tonight, but if he's even half as good he'll be a heckof a player.
With Kobe, Pau, and Odom all on the floor, Hayward was THE best player on the floor in the 2nd-half. Great defense, tough rebounding, fearless going to the rim and if he can hit that mid-range jumper consistently we'll have one of the wing positions filled for the next 7 years. He was running Kobe ragged coming off screens, and blowing by Artest and whoever else was guarding him with ease.
Al shot 5-18, and Millsap played hard but he had his shot blocked 8 times - that has to be near an NBA-record. That win was all about Hayward, with strong play from Watson and Favors down the stretch.
