Oh I can imagine it. Let's elect Trump and have our own adventure. I mean we want to turn over the apple cart? Even though it has a lot of tasty apples? Well, Turkey sure did turn over the apple cart. Sounds like fun!
LOL ... nice imagery.

Wow, do you feel that this was his way of cementing power so he can stay President permanently?
I wonder if considering the course of the country under him they should have taken that shot. Does Turkey need a dictator? Maybe, to keep order with its sharp turn towards islamism.
Turkish PM and Trump is not a good combo...This guy wants Turkey to turn more towards Islamism. Turkey was founded on secular rule. The turn of events should be concern for the stability of the region and beyond. If this guy turns his back on the US, he has our nukes.
Been saying this about Trump as much as I can. Does not end well.Turkish PM and Trump is not a good combo...
OF course it is. THis guy wants to be a dictator and make Turkey more of a Muslim country instead of the secular country Turkey has been. THe guy is trying to change the constitution so he can remain in power. Now he is getting rid of all the opposition under the idea that they were part of the recent attempt by the military to take over the country. If Turkey goes down and moves toward Russia then people should be worried especially since Turkey has our nukes in their country.
Right now is the perfect time for Erdogan to do anything he wants. How long until Turkey becomes a caliphate? I'd bet with 5 years.

All belongs to the cult that is behind the coup. And he is, he just closed a couple dozen newspapers and TV channels.

Sorry I didn't understand. So? At what point is to far? At what point is proof needed?

LDS volunteers (I assume that means missionaries of some sort) just pulled from Turkey.

I am saying that so what if they belong to this religious group? Has that group been outlawed in Turkey? Have they been proven guilty of any crimes?
All I see, from the info I've read, is that Erdogan is going after anything he doesn't like. Regardless of whether they had a hand in the coup or not.

So the Church thinks there is no hope left in Turkey?
I would agree with this decision. Normally as I have said to fish I would say that I think the whole idea behind mission is to make the people better human beings, so when there is bad situation, they should get involved more but they will just get violated in here if they came across a fanatic.More like, the LDS church thinks it's an unsafe situation.
