Wait until next year when they rebuild... I don't think Crowder is the guy he used to be.

More like what else are they willing to give us! Barnes is a MAX player not close to living up to that contract. Also has a dreaded player option in two years. He'll probably accept it, and collect on the 25m.
 
Even if Crowder is a shell of his former self, he has a very low salary. Most importantly, he’s a BAMF.

Maybe but let’s let his trade value tank like Carroll’s did and then we can get him on the cheap. We actually have a good stable of wings and guys that can play small ball four. I don’t think Crowder is a guy I’d spend a lot to get.

It is apparently obvious that the future of our franchise is in the hands of DMitchell. So what does he need around him? Build that. If Rubio doesn't make sense because he doesn't, trade him. If 2 bigs who can't shoot doesn't work, trade Favors.

I'm sick and tired of barely being relevant. We have a future star. Pull the ****ing bandaid and go all out on building around Mitchell and Gobert. Use every asset to get there. Get pieces that make sense.

So what if Gobert is not a piece that makes sense next to Mitchell? What do the Jazz do then?

Every team needs a force defensively. You either have it in the form of a Draymond or a Pippen, or you have it in the form of a shot blocking center. We already have Gobert, so we use him.

We don't have to run offense through him for him to be an elite player. Read that again.

Mitchell, Ingles and Gobert make sense. How do we compliment that best? What realistic type of player?

I agree with you, but I'm not sure Rudy agrees with us. And then there is the small complication of where do you hide Rudy if he is not the primary screener and roller.

Ideally he would improve his capacity to catch and finish, including extending his range out further to IDK.....say maybe 5-ft.

Right now he's a shell of himself because he is not confident on his knee. He wasn't good before that because whoever guards Rubio and Favs can help. Rubio's lob passes are awful... Rudy needs to be better, but even if he was I'm not sure it works without changes.

You know who threw good lob passes... Exum. I hate TJ Warren so much.

Even if he is a cleanup guy on offense, he has to be reckoned with. DeAndre Jordan has made a good living with zero offense other than dunking. If he could shoot free throws like Gobert, he would be a top 10 player. And Jordan is not as good as Gobert on defense and has made more money.

If Mitchell and whoever plays the other guard spot pick and roll off of a stretch 4 type, Gobert's defender cannot help or its an easy dunk.

I actually like the idea of Rubio for Monroe just to free up money next summer.

As for favors there are 2 options for trades.

1st trade him to a team that need a good defensive center that can provide offense or a team with stretch big that he can play next to.

The teams would need probably want to have his rights to re-sign him next summer.

2nd option is to move favors to a team that will want to dump salary
