Insightful.
So who would you rather be led by on the basketball court given the choice of all NBA coaches?
Insightful.
JF bitched when Ty was mic'd up about how sad his "cheerleading" was. Then the blind haters bitched that he didn't cheerlead like doc rivers and mark Jackson. When someone can't win, you know your opinion is taint.
I don't like Ty as a coach because I hate the gazed look in his eyes.. he looks lost, to me. I'm a fan, so I really don't have to have reasons to substantiate my distrust that he will get the most out of our team.

Who made those guys the mighty front line. Because they shouldn't have been at any point in the season. Yet they were. For pretty much the entire season when healthy. Bottom line for me. Ty had a better roster with more talent. And he had more time with the team. Yet they got worse. The starting lineup that got outplayed all season never changed until late (it worked why did it take all ****ing season to change?).Since you're a new fan, you may not know the history. Jerry Sloan hired Corbin. Corbin was named HC when Sloan quit.
Harris was clearly better than Mo, on both ends of the floor, and healthy too.
Replacing Bell, Howard, CJ with Foye and Marvin was a good try, but ultimately sucked ***. You didn't expect the defense to suck *** with Foye and Mo being the mighty front line? Sad to say that Roger Braille was 10x the defender Foye was, and almost as good at chucking threes too.
There was clear and ongoing improvement to Alfense. Apparently the history has to be repeated over and over to deaf ears. Ty tried to go away from Alfense at the start of the season. It had mixed results (worse than last season's start) and then Mo got hurt, so Ty had to start from scratch, again. So he tried to bring along the young guys even quicker, with an explicit focus on baseline and HORNS plays for Kanter-Favors, weak side triangle PnR with Hayward and other pnr, and getting Burks to resemble an player who could run within an NBA offense.
Ty needs to learn to motivate on the road and adjust his late game substitution patterns. The 2nd will be very easy for him to do, but the first relies a lot on personnel. Let's get an all star & a well rounded team and see what Ty can do.
I don't know.So who would you rather be led by on the basketball court given the choice of all NBA coaches?
I don't know.
I do know that "I don't like Ty because I don't like Ty" isn't a particularly compelling argument.

That's basically how I feel. If I was inclined I can list at least a dozen reasons why he is not an HC at this level - I posted many of them throughout the season. But it all boils down to the fact that the game is way too fast for him and he doesn't have the ability to think on his feet.

At least he has ideas. The vast majority of the arguments against Ty are little more than ignorant temper tantrums.
It's no surprise that those who disagree with Franklin are silent when it comes to his tactical arguments and extremely loud when he mentions race. If the ignorant would just shut the **** up and listen for a while, they might learn something.
Exactly. Did he ever think about bringing Foye off the bench, especially when Randy was throwing up brick after brick? Did he ever take Millsap aside and tell him to "Go Hard" or he'd start Favors? I remember SPECIFICALLY Ty talking about how well Alec played at PG when he had a ballhandler playing beside him. How many times after that did we see Alec and Randy together? Instead, we saw Ty continue to trot out Tinsley and Watson. I'm sorry, but I don't care if those two are FA's. They proved during the course of the season they had very little left. First and third quarters were a HUGE problem ALL season long. And what was Corbin's solution? Swapping Marvin and Gordon. Weren't there other changes he could have/should have tried? Maybe Ty is being kept around because he was instructed to try to build/maintain the trade value of the veterans. Maybe he was then told to miss the playoffs so the Jazz would get a lottery pick. If that was the case, he did a helluva job hiding the genius of the plan behind a façade of incompetency.Who made those guys the mighty front line. 1. That's not actually how he started his argument.I hate Ty's coaching; therefore, I must be racist. Sorry, but when a poster begins his argument with that assertion, then I don't give a damn about his "tactical arguments" and I have no interest in listening to what else he has to say. But then according to you, if I hate Ty's coaching then I must be ignorant and should just shut the **** up! I wonder if it is possible for either of you to make your case without being offensive?
Who made those guys the mighty front line.

Yes, I did consider Favors is a one-way player right now. Are you saying Jefferson is a two-way player? Jefferson is a part of just about every single worst-5 combo the Jazz had statistically. Burks being a side factor for the rest of his career? Yes, you could be right. But seriously, when the opponents are sagging off and just daring Watson and Tinsley to shoot, you've got a serious problem. I'll take 42%/36% over 36%/31% or 31%/18%, especially given the fact that Burks WAS improving when given minutes.Ty Corbin doesn't sign players, he's not Gregg Poppovich.
I ended a 3 year argument with the racist explanation for mass hysteria, but glad you were offended at my gap filler, even though you allegedly aren't racist but don't care about the "tactical arguments" and want to brush them aside. Keep not caring, I'll keep insinuating.
Did you ever consider that Favors is a one way player with significant deficiencies on that defensive way, or that Burks couldn't do **** for 1.5 years and will more than likely be a side factor throughout his career?
Of course Tyrone Corbin thought of all this, but then again, he's, you know, with the team 24/7 and doesn't see what the rest of us see.
(again, I like you Asseater, but I'm GO HARD! on this one and you're not so sensitive)
Scott Brooks has grown???????He can grow with the team ala Scotty Brooks & the Thunder.
