Ty Lawson, Anyone?

I fear he might be part of the issues, particular chemistry issues that Houston has been facing. Denver is playing well without him on the team and Houston is not playing well with him. I wouldn't do Houston any favors either.

If Houston is willing to throw in a young asset, it'd make much more sense. Lawson is owed 13 mil next season too there's little incentive to take that off their hands without something extra coming back in return.

Trevor Booker, Tibor Pleiss and Trey Burke for Lawson and Clint Capela would give the Jazz an interesting look, and improve the bench. It's not really a big move in the grand scheme of things either. Capela would show well on this roster.

No I think he had to waive next season's salary in that trade to HOU.. so he's effectively an expiring this year.

I'd love Lawson on our team in terms of his passing & pushing the pace... BUT I think Morey would be asking too much and there is no way DL would ever let somebody who's dealing with alcohol issues taint this young core.

NO WAY do I see this trade happening for Utah.

Well damn.. that was stupid. That complicates trade scenario's with the Jazz for sure. Not sure if there's too many feasible deals to be done.

It's tough to call how the FO feels about the current PG's with Trey's improved shooting %'s and Neto remaining the starter. It's doubtful they feel the need to make a change, with the team running well so far.

Well I think there's clearly an issue at the PG position hence the "tripple wing" lineup to finish games? DL's approach is likely to see this season out and wait for Exum next year... unless one of Burks/Hood is out for an extended period of time then I think we'll need another PG if we seriously want to make the playoffs this year.

VIA Twitter post, 2010: Ty Lawson posted a link to an audio snippet on his Twitter feed entitled "Utah is dumb boring."

VIA a Twitter Q&A, 2014: Which team he would never play for: Utah Jazz (the city’s too boring)

VIA Reddit Q&A Session: My least favorite team to play on the road is the utah jazz because their fans are so reckless

Dude would be an instant cancer

I don't see how Lawson does any better with Utah than he is in Houston. Lawson is best when he can dominant the ball he'll face similar issues Neto and Burke are having where he's forced to ball the majority of his mins off ball thus making him far less effective.

But we don't really have a 1-on-5 James Harden on our team though.. I think Hayward, Favors and especially Gobert could really benefit from elite level passing which Lawson does possess.

People think Neto has "elite level passing" skills yet it not yielding consistent production. Utah is actually worse. Hood, Burks, and Hayward all spend time handling the ball.

Not sure you can compare Neto to Lawson.. Lawson is a lot quicker with the ball, and at this stage of their careers a much better passer. Neto is still a rookie and is still adjusting to the NBA game.

Fair point. However it's not like Lawson is using any of that to be productive with the Rockets. His assist and shooting %'s are all some of the lowest of his career.

Lawson should really want to be traded to Utah. He needs an image rebuild and he needs to get his game back. We could really use his skills, and the Utah setting might help him get his head right.

I don't think Lawson & Harden are a great fit tbh... Why have an offense when Harden's just going to hold the ball and go 1-on-1 every chance he gets?

Because Houston is a terrible fit for him. Houston's offense is giving Harden the ball and everyone else just stand around.

If this was 2k16 then yes. Skillset would be welcomed. He is a cancer though so pass. He has shown no remorse for his off court issues and hasn't hit rock bottom. We have really good chemistry and a guy like this could ruin it.

I think we need to keep an eye on the Goran Dragic situation though... he's not working well there.
