What's new

Ty the turd already on thin ice with me

To be fair Milsap played more minutes than anybody else on the Jazz tonight and while his first half play was horrid he did look better in the 2nd half albeit once LA was already up around 30pts

He missed a few early shots, probably from no preseason if that's what you mean. "Horrid" is more worthy of 2-16 type numbers.

To be fairer, Millsap (7-15 FG) played less than 3 minutes more than Jefferson (2-16 FG), albeit against a higher percentage of backups. Even so, that's a vast difference that warranted AJ sitting far sooner.

But if Corbin's gonna carry on the Sloan legacy in terms of in-game management, he's doing a good job of emulating Ol' Jer so far.

In the game thread I mentioned it was at least partly due to rust from not playing in the preseason I also said AJ played like complete butt, to bad the rest of them couldn't get some of their missed shots to pad their rebounding numbers cause lord knows they still wouldn't have made the followups.

After the end of the Denver game, if Burks isn't taking all of Bell's minutes than I think we have all the evidence we need to know Ty is mentally challenged and most certainly not fit for any professional coaching job.

Howard/Miles/Hayward played together at some points last night, so that means they're capable of sharing the floor together. Yet another reason Bell should never be on the court. Alas, Bell starts for Ty the helpless, hapless Turd and most likely will continue to do so until his legs break or Ty is fired.

This could be a real fun season watching our talented youth grow before our own eyes, but it's been a horror show watching one stupid coach butcher any sensible lineup and stunt any potential growth in the key cogs of our franchise.

I will be writing a letter to the Jazz organization and all the media outlets in SLC. I may even dip into my savings account to take out some ad space in the SL Trib spelling out how pathetic of a hire Corbin was - and that each day he retains his job is a hurtful slap in the fanbase's face. I wish I knew more about the inner-workings of the front office to know if he was more KOC's idea or Greggy boy's. Regardless, I hope both of them have become as disgusted as we all are with Ty the Gutless Wonder (credit: Verlin) and his unimaginable decisions.

I haven't even mentioned how pathetically disorganized we've looked on both ends of the floor, and against token full court pressure, but that is for another day. In the meantime, all the national analysts did a good job filling in for me in pointing out how stupid the Jazz game plan was against the Lakers.

In closing, I want to take this time to collectively laugh out loud at Ty the Moron's most recent quotes in the SL Trib about him not quitting and the players not quitting on him. The fact that he had to invoke the mere thought of quitting after the SECOND game of a 66 game season is proof he's an emotional wreck, who is in way over his head. Time to step down and go run another franchise into the ground, Ty.

I will also ask for anyone of faith to pray for Bell's ACL and MCL joints in his knees to tear in half tonight. Thanks and have a pleasant day.

Go Jazz!

Love Always,

I applaud your effort to articulate your point, but I think it's off base entirely. Until anyone who has an issue with Corbin being questioned can point out any critique I've said that wasn't justified or valid, then I'd agree. It's all based in reality baby. No homo.

I think his remark has merit. Regardless of wether your critique is based on reality or bias (I think it is a mix of both. Who isn't biased to some degree?). Where his comment has merit is in your persistant harping about the subject. If you wish to sway people to your side then do so with less heat and more logic. If you don't care if you sway people to your side then continue on by all means. Just expect the exact same response.

Looks like my complaints were 100% warranted and weren't just for the sake of complaining. If you don't want to apologize publicly, a PM would suffice.

Rookie coach struggling with a team that's not very good.

****ing brilliant. Way to go, Nostradamus.

One baby step forward, one giant step back. Hayward flourishes at the 2, Ty the Turd keeps him at the 3 while keeping Bell in the starting lineup at the 2. Following another horrendous start against the Spurs, Ty comes back with Bell in the starting lineup in the 2nd half.

The Turd just can't seem to get out of his own way, and I'm hoping it comes to a point when the first page of Jazzfanz is taken up mostly by OccuTy Corbin threads like these. Looks like most of this community is starting to see what I saw pretty clearly now. Unfortunately that means we've had to lose some games in a pretty disturbing fashion for that to happen, and I don't want to say I told you so.

This team has the makings of a playoff team this year in the West. Of course the odds are stacked against us, but I think if Harris can be consistent as an uptempo point guard and Turd figures out the right starters/rotation we can do it. Not because we're necessarily awesome, but because the West is pretty crappy depth wise.

(NOTE: Since Okur was traded, and Turd didn't have the chance to play him over one of our franchise frontcourt pieces, I haven't really critiqued how he's managed Jefferson/Millsap/Favors/Kanter/Evans because I don't any sane person can say there should be a specific rotation between them. It's not something like the Bell issue where you have an over-the-hill one trick pony, who can't do his trick, and it's as easy as just saying get rid of his *** (or bench him completely). My only hope is that Turd and his staff remember which combos in the frontcourt do well together and start to let them develop a chemistry.)

I'm surprised nobody mentions Corbin's ridiculous post-game comments every night.

"We need to keep searching for where we are."
" We just need to make sure the guys understand that it’s a long season. We need to stay together and work."
"But you can’t sit there and look for the reason why. You have to look for the reason how to win on the road."

He's an endless supply of worthless statements that mean nothing. How about less zen and more basketball, coach?

In other words, you want him to put lipstick on a pig.

Usually any pre or post game quote from a basketball coach is some packaged cliche with no substance. Ty's just following protocol there. He's got much bigger issues than what he's saying to the press.
