What's new

Utah jazz AT the Atlanta Pigeons ON ROOT Sports 1280 AM/ 97.5 FM AT 5:00

Listening to Ty's post game...
"Favors wasn't having one of his better games, so I had to take him out."

I don't have a problem with that, I just wonder why it never applies to the vets?

bench was horrible, but Corbin left Watson in way too long, and never should have gone away from Burks at the 1 to begin with.

Corbin didn't put us in the best position to win tonight.

Great first half though

It was easy for Corbin to stop coaching because we had such a big lead.

I would have liked to see the foye, burks, hayward lineup at some point in the game.... although at the end of the game we really needed millsap to be playing the 3 to guard smith so maybe tonight wasn't the right night for it.

As everyone has said... the bench was total crap tonight and for one of the few times this season, they were more responsible for the loss than the starters.

I dont get how you judge a players performance in 2 minutes game play. Corbin needs to read a ton of books on leadership or get a coach to help him be a better leader.. Unbelievable he gets paid to make this team worse.

Once the trade deadline passes, I think (assume....hope) the distribution of minutes will change a bit. I think the Jazz are seeing if they can get something for Earl Watson and are pretending he's a rotation player.

Honest Question. Ivan Johnson was killing us tonight. If he played for the Jazz, would Corbin have stayed with him? I say no

Post game they are interviewing the players that did well and asking them why we lost ... I'm waiting for them to stick a microphone in Watson's face.

Josh smith is not really a 3... he is four that they use at the 3 sometimes..... hayward is ok at the 3 against 90% of the league

I don't know what the %'s are, but Hayward is limited at the 3 and the 2: big 3's (Lebron, J. Smith, Carmelo Anthony, Metta, etc.), and shorter/quicker guards (Ben Gordon, Eric Gordon, Marcus Thornton, etc.). At least with the 2's, he can recover with his length and use this on offense.

Hayward was not the reason we lost tonite Corbin cannot coach is why we lost

Hayward was -19, by far the worst on the team. He had 1 rebound in 29 minutes. He pussed out to a certain extent as Josh Smith was just pushing him around. Josh Smith had 3 big assists in the fourth and the offense ran through him. Part was Corbin, but part was Hayward. Corbin should not have played Gordon on Smith, but Hayward did not show the fight and intelligence of a Manu Ginobili, John Stockton, Gary Payton. He should have used Smith's impetuous nature against him. Smith already had 1 Tech, get him kicked out of the game by bothering him.

Listening to Corbin, it pisses me off when he talks about how they can't let the other team get momentum, yet he doesn't even know how to call a timeout to stop a run. This game is no doubt on every one, but Corbin could have called a timeout when it was clear that Atlanta was getting hot and told the team how the game wasn't over yet, and bla bla bla.
