What's new

Utah jazz AT the Atlanta Pigeons ON ROOT Sports 1280 AM/ 97.5 FM AT 5:00

Well that was the most depressing loss of the season.

The bench just absolutely sucked. No way around it, they were terrible. And I wish Ty knew that he does possess these things called "timeouts" that can be used in an attempt to stop the other team's momentum.

As bad as Corbin was I feel some of your pain. Had the bench shown up at all we win this game.

Well, enough bitching about this loss from me. It's over. We'll have a new loss to bitch about tonight.

its not the jazz' fault guys. sometimes u just gotta tip ur hat to a great player.
the "legendary" devin harris was just unstoppable tonight. nothing on gods green earth coulda stood between him and victory tonight.

The only thing I can blame Corbin on is Watson playing to long but Burks was playing badly and so was Favors and Kanter so the only line up I could think of would be Foye, Hayward, Carroll, Millsap and Jefferson, nobody else really played all that well (well Tinsley played pretty well as well). Really that is the only 6 players on the team that played like they had ever seen a basketball before.

I would agree that this was the most disappointing loss so far this season for me, also unless DET plays bad I'm not sure the Jazz can win tonight. Offensively all the starters played well enough to win so I'm not sure how they're going to play tonight and so far on this road trip every one on the bench not named Hayward doesn't even look like they got on the plane to for this road trip.

I agree I definitely put this on the players more than the coach, but I feel like Corbin could have made a couple moves to help slow the bleeding.

Billy,
Locke is not a shill. A shill has the appearance of not being associated. In this case, Locke is an employee of the Jazz. He's paid to say nice things about them. He's the same as Boler, harpring. Not sure why you have such a beef with him acting like a homer. He gets paid to be a homer.

You're absolutely right. And I firmly believe he's been told what subjects he can't discuss and that #1 on that list is criticism of Ty. It just gets maddening to listen to the Jazz's delegated mouthpiece pretend at being an expert numbers guy, yet completely disregard the dysfunction of our whole offense. You don't have to worry about this in bigger markets where the media and analysts write about what's actually happening, not just rehash the party line.

I think the game was lost when Ty didn't counter the move of putting Josh Smith at SF with putting in Favors. No way can Hayward guard him in the post. Favors may have had a bad game but we need his defense. Ty has failed to do this more than once and lost games. When is he going to learn?
