Well, I hate people so that's why I don't go anymore. I'd rather lay on the couch with a big fat plate of nachos than sit next to a bunch of dumbass people that just piss me off.

So Utah is a fair-weather crowd, good to know. I guess Durant is right.
Jazz ended up 13th in attendance this season, their worst ranking since they moved into the Delta Center (even accounting for number of teams).
Isn't this a non-issue now that we have revenue sharing?

In the realm of sports, brand equity can be thought of as capturing the size and intensity of a team’s fan base.
Basically, what we do is estimate a statistical model of team box office revenues as a function of the team’s winning percentage, team payroll, market population, arena capacity, number of all-stars, and other factors that capture the quality of the team’s product and revenue potential in a given year.
Did anyone else catch the article last week about fanbase equity? Basically some economics geeks tried to calculate the good will of each teams fanbase given the teams attendance numbers compared to thier winning percentage and facotring in teh previous years attendance and attendance trends league wide.
The Jazz ranked 12, and had dropped from the previous seasons rankings. NY Knicks were #1.
I will try to find the article link.
I bet if Al, Paul, and Mo are let go, that our record will be worse and attendance will go up.
With the new variables of revenue sharing and demand-based pricing, it's hard to know what these lower numbers mean to the bottom line. I do think it's safe to say that the franchise can't be happy with the attendance numbers even if they believe it is somewhat expected.Jazz ended up 13th in attendance this season, their worst ranking since they moved into the Delta Center (even accounting for number of teams).
