What's new

Utah Jazz @ Miami Heat - 11/12/15 - 5:30pm ROOT

Trey leads the Jazz with 12 3pt makes. he's making them at a 48% clip thus far
Alec's got 10 3pt makes, he's at a 63% clip. Hood's got 10 3pt makes shooting at a 26% clip
Haywards got 9, at a 32% clip. (39% from the field overall)
Ingles has 7, at a 41% clip.
Neto has 6 at a 33% clip (missed all 8 he's taken in the past 4 games -- He's also shooting 27% from the field...)

Locke had an interesting stat tonight.

Burke has missed 8 straight shots off the PNR and Neto hasnt made one all year.

That's our PG play folks.

we are one player away from contender. it sucks that we don't have a guy who can just take over and win the game. sigh...

Really dont think we need that. We just can't have a position be a complete liability like staring PG is.

These close losses are breaking my balls. I keep having to tell myself that not even a year ago, games on the road against teams of this calibur were, without exception, blowout losses. And the Jazz are one of the youngest teams in the NBA.

The Jazz need to make a trade for a Vet PG who can replace Neto in the starting lineup. We'll easily make the playoffs if they can get someone halfway decent there.

Sigh, another moral victory for the Jazz.

I hope to see an actual victory tomorrow.

I agree with the sigh part, and your final statement. But I don't think anyone on the Jazz thinks of it as a moral victory. Maybe a few misguided fans do. I don't think it's a moral victory because the Jazz are too good for that. As fans we gotta hope they come out with their hair on fire tomorrow looking for (figurative) blood.

Like who Einstein ???

I agree that cj is a good comp for hood so far this season.
Luckily we how much better hood is than cj by watching him play last year

Honestly he has been reminding me of Marvin Williams. MW isn't horrible but not all that good either. Hopefully this is a phase.

Bud just take the L. Hayward was a fadeaway/step back king last year. You denied. You are either a Hayward denier, have memory loss, or dont watch Jazz games.

I hate Hayward deniers. Scientists have definitively concluded he exists. There is ample data to show that he warms up as the season goes on, and he gets better from season to season (a trend known as gordan warming). A short cooling period does not buck the trend.

Jazz misses an elite scorer! We are telling this since 3 seasons.

As Ive stated before Hayward is not a #1 player on a championship team. Really good player, love him, but not a top elite player.

Favors has really been the best player early this season. He said he was going to bring it, and has. Really impressed with his game.
Still Favors isnt good enough to carry us either.

We are a team full of good, and we have to have ALL of them playing well to beat good teams. And wait for Hood to develop.

Once Hayward and Favors put it together we'll be closer to where we want to, but will these close losses early in the year hurt us
come crunch time? The answer is yes.

I'm not concerned with the loss, Miami is a solid team and we have a bunch of road games to start the year.
What concerns me is that we are getting destroyed by opposing guards night in and night out.
