What's new

Utah Jazz @ Minnesota Timberwolves 12/22/10 6PM MST

Fesenko single handedly tried to lose this game for us during his 3 minutes of playing time in the 3rd. Jefferson and Hayward are able to overcome his garbage play.

What a stupid game. Holy crap. Jefferson went from a first half zero to a second half hero. 7 blocks? Damn.

Hell yeah. When was the last time the Jazz went 3-1 on the pre-Christmas road trip?

Wow another great comeback. This team never quits but I would like to see a another type of mentality. Show up and dominate from the beginning.

Jefferson was the man in the second half. Seven blocks. It was nice to see Hayward contribute when he played. Hopefully, he can gain some confidence and start contributing each night.

If Sloan doesn't try Hayward in the rotation in the next game he's a moron. If Hayward fails, fine, but this kids confidence has been on life support and needs to be engendered as much as it can be. If he plays well again, everyone wins. If he sucks, take him out of the rotation again, but give him a chance.

This game is a perfect example how experience in the NBA is usually the difference in many games. T-Wolves record would be over .500 if they knew how to close out games while the Jazz would be closer to .500 if they didn't know how to close out the game. Three times down the court with Beasley taking it to the hoop and at the end they settle for a contested 3pt. makes no sense.

I think I'm excited about a thrilling comeback against the T-Wolves. And last year this wouldn't even have been possible which confirms I'm feeling great. So yeah, great win.

Price is garbage. I'm hoping Hayward takes Price's spot in the rotation and then some. Tonight's game should be a nice confidence booster for GTime.

Finally the Jazz wake up. Why is a herculean 4th quarter effort needed to beat even the worse team in the league?

T-Wolves always play competitive at home - they should have beaten San Antonio at home a couple of weeks ago. This one was too close for comfort though.

Fes = 85 inches of incompetence.

Nice job by Hayward - all the tools are there. It will probably take him a year or two to figure it out though.

And what's with the boo'ing of Big Al? I thought Minnesotans were a laid back bunch. It's not like the guy left as a FA or even demanded a trade - I guess that's just the new thing.

Hayward is really good at entering the ball into the post. Has anyone else noticed that. I mean that is pretty much 80% of what he does on the floor, but he is good at it.

Horrible first 1 half for Big al(and most of our starters), and a good second half.
7 block shots for Big Al? Wow.

Ak played bad the 1st half, but had a max effort 2nd half.
Mansap! Was one of the few bright spots of the 1st half, and had a huge finish for us with those and 1's and the game clinching rebound.

Hayward played very well tonight. His passes were crisp, and helped set up his teammates perfectly.
Nice dunk to seal the deal too!

Great comeback win. I bet on the Jazz tonight, and it paid off.

There's one thing about the first quarter blues I'm positively sure about: We never get anybody in foul trouble. Even if we've luckily stumbled into that a few times, we're NEVER in the bonus in the first. Bottom line: We just don't attack teams. Deron is always looking to distribute, we settle for jumpshots, and there isn't enough trust to keep the offense moving below the 10 second mark.

the boo'ing in the game was more of a miss your free throw kinda boo. he was just a regular jaz zplayer once the game started.

before the game when he got introduced he got a standing o and cheers

I'm very impressed with Hayward's lateral quickness on D. A lot of guys try to go right at him when he checks in and he usually shuts them off. Not sure if it will ever translate into servicably guarding Kobe and Wade, but he definitely has lively legs.
