Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Kuzmas - 8:30p MDT (ESPN)

26 points for the rook. My oh my.

He's not on Haywards level right now, but he's got more upside imo.
As a rookie I didn't see this kind of flash from Hayward. I realize we arent in the regular season yet, but DM has shined every step of the way.

If I had to have him or Hay for the next 5 years I take Mitchell without even blinking.

I just feel it. He's a star ok, and we get the privilege of watching his turn into one.
The future core is Gobert and Mitchell. Hopefully Rubio and Hood too.

I LOVE THIS JAZZ.

I'll go ahead and be that guy. Derrick Favors played 24 minutes tonight, had 5 shots (made 4), didn't play during crunch time, and ended with 10 pts and 5 rebs.

Now, it's pre-season, and maybe he's on a minutes restriction, but do you really think he wants to re-sign with the Jazz in the offseason knowing that he's playing behind Gobert and Johnson when it really matters?

Some other team is going to give him more money, more minutes, and twice as many touches on offense.

Rudy DPOY and Donovan ROY. Along with Rudy in the discussion for future MVP.

If you could get Gordon back right now on his max deal but you had to give Denver DM and take back Lyles and Lydon... would you do it... no one... yeah me neither.
Hell no.
Might not even want haywood back on his max deal without giving anything up.

Could end up being a blessing in disguise that we don't have to overpay for that son of a bitch.

But here's the thing, Ingles is the better perimeter shooter. I mean, he is clearly the better open shooter. And with Rubio DM and Gobert out there, really you want your 3 to be making a ton of open looks.

I understand that Hood is probably the better overall shooter - can make tough shots and has a mid-range game.

Also, you are giving up some versatility on defense. How will Hood go against a bunch of the 3s?

I would make Hood my six man. He can average 15-16 points leading bench units and staggered first units. He can finish many nights too if he has the hot hand. Ingles on the second unit has slightly less value. Not as effective at leading an offense. Just my two bobs worth.

On the other hand, Jingles is a glue guy who settles things down. He doesn't play that well in the fast pace. That's why you bring him off the bench with Joe Jesus. Two guys who make the right play and can make their shots. Hood would be better suited to the faster pace line-up. Hard to say but I think Quin will figure it out.

I'm 34 so I love when you get rookies like Caruso who look older than me. Got that Brian Cardinal thing going.

Which begs the question who is going to be our starting PF next year. Scary to lose the production of DFAV, as rock solid as he is.
