Utah Jazz vs Washington Wizards - Monday January 17th, 2011

I'm done watcing tonight's game. The Jazz forgot what had helped them win some close games: defense. For 4-5 weeks, I have not pleased with the team defense. Tonight, Wizards were agressive and they controlled the paint, made the Jazz a one dimensional 3-pt team. However, if the Jazz were the aggressors from the start instead of being the ones sleepwalking, the refs would start to call some 3sec violations and fouls to excessive contacts to Deron and Paul.

The Jazz cannot win this game when all of its opponents are about to play each other, face tough schedules. This way, forget about 3rd seed. You will not win many big road games like Miami, Orlando games, so you better blow those below .500 teams out. Wizards have talent and versatility, they caught the Jazz lazy and disinterested in defense. The Jazz better wake up and make some defensive adjustments.

Why the hell is Millsap still in the game? Damn, Utah has been beaten down in every facet of the game since I started watching at the half. I'm starting to think it's me.

The teams the Washington Bullets have beaten thus far:

Philly X 2
Houston
Toronto X 2
Memphis
Porty
Charlotte
Indy
Jersey
Sacramento

And now us. A supposed "legit" club. Brilliant. Just effing brilliant.

Jazz are also the only .500+ team from that list. Pathetic.

1:25 left and a 3 point game. At least they made it exciting in the end, but where was this for the other 40 minutes of the game?

Jazz showed no pride today. They should be utterly embarrassed.
Does this team give a damn?

The only way to make up for this crap is to beat Boston and LA.

Way to waste my afternoon! I wish they would let the fans know when the plan to mail it in, so I can find something better to do with my time.

Millsap was awful all game, it's fitting Utah's comeback ended with him fouling Blatche after letting allowing him to drive right and then missing a jumper at the other end. Jazz's defense was annihilated this afternoon and even the Wizards have now dominated the Jazz on the boards.

The Jazz need another player who can put the ball on the floor and create at the rim. CJ and AK do this occasionally, but they're not that good at it. D. Will still has to set everyone up while they stand around and space themselves. When the jumpers aren't falling, we're not in a good position to rebound or score in other ways.

Play defense and play with some urgency. What a ****ing embarrassment. There is no excuse for a loss to this pathetic team.

P.S. That play down the stretch where they drew up a play to get the cold-hand a long-2 was the ****ing ball game. Who the **** thought that was a good idea? Down by 4, enough time to run something inside and see where it goes, and they rush a bad shot to Millsap (which was a forced, uncomfortable jumper and I knew it would clank the second the ball left his hand). Ball comes out, Wizards run, Jazz jog, Jazz lose their assignments, and they let the hot-hand get a wide-open corner 3. Ballgame.

****ing disgraceful. Did these guys go to bed at 5:00am last night?

Sap just isn't effective against big lineups. I know he did well against the Lakers in the playoffs but am starting to think that is because Boozer was garnering all their attention.
Aldridge abused him twice, and now the lowly Blatche.

The Jazz played horrible efense no effort especially Sap's. I didn't mind him being in at the end of the game with what he's done this year but he shouldn't have been allowed to play as many minutes as he did same goes for Bell.

Millsap just had a ****** game. I'm not buying that his best just wasn't good enough today. He looked like he didn't show up.
