Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

The Jazz are 100% not trading Hood for Johnson straight up. they have 0 assets outside of Kennard, so unless they want to do Kennard for Hood straight up, not **** going to happen. like Idiot said, this is most likely just the aggregate sites reading the KOC rumor from yesterday and assuming it still applies post-Griffin trade.

If the jazz are taking on Gallo, we better be getting a top 5 pick.

What about getting the Detroit 1st instead of the Cavs' 1st?

So Burks and Favors for Gallinari and the Detroit 2018 1st. Is that worth the $22 million in 2019? Probably not. I wonder how much our FO loved Gallinari last summer.

I think the Clips are so desperate to dump Gallo's contract that you could do a lot better deal than that, and would need to be compensated more than that to bring him on.

Give us all those picks and Patrick Beverley and I'll take Gallo.

Other than the Detroit pick, what other assets do the Clippers have? I guess we could send them JoeJ instead of Favors in the hope that we can get something for Favors elsewhere.

I don't think the jazz would have any interest in Gallo at 20million + over the next two years. It's not happening. Not the jazz way. Plus, he's injured and only played 11 games, and in those 11 games he hasn't been able to throw a basketball into the ocean. No thanks. Unless we are getting a chance to draft Porter or Young for taking on that bloated deal, jazz won't deal

You are probably right. I'm not a Gallinari fan, but I know some are. I was pretty shocked to hear that the FO was trying to sign him last summer. He doesn't seem to be the guy to target, but I guess we just never know. I would only take him if we got a pick that was worth it.

At least with Bullock, we are replacing the shooting we lose on the wings from dealing Hood. He has enough size to play the 3 too (6'7 w/ a 6'10 wingspan). I just think Detroit would be hesitant to deal 2 wings to get 1 wing. They are alreay at a wing deficit (only have 5 on the roster, will only have 4 if they deal Johnson and Bullock).

I think you could, but Johnson would have to be a 4. It wouldnt be idea ltho.

I think the following lineup could work: Rubio, Mitchell, Ingles, Johnson, Gobert. Sure, we lack a shooter just like with Favors, but Johnson's athleticism cutting, crashing, screening and rolling would be helpful. We would also be better on the break.
