Just because you may not use the suites does not make what you say true. The majority of people in the suites are not the ultra rich, they are their employees, friends, and family. Suites are a HUGE HUGE HUGE part of the Jazz relationship with the community and more importantly the community leaders.
Most of the prominent Utah companies use suites at the jazz games to entertain clients and employees. I know a significant number of "average joes" who aren't big NBA fans and their only times attending games are in suites when they got tickets from their work.
Suites might not equal the amount of seats as the upper and lower bowel but it terms of revenue and signifiants they are on par.
I find it funny that they show renovations to damn near every single inch of the interior of the stadium and people are complaining because they spent 5 extra minutes talking about the new suites and clubs in detail. One reason they did it because the big sponsors and suite owners were IN ATTENDANCE of the press conference. How dare they focus on things that the people spendings $100,000 on tickets and millions on advertising care about instead of the average joe who attends 5 upper bowl games a year!!! They improved the game experience from the front row, to the back row, and significantly improved the top rows in my opinion.
