What about Luther Head?

Now that i got your attention. Hornets gm used a failed physical to pull his contract. Per his agent he is fine and passed his after season physical from indy with flying covers. Pretty good shooter, good guy doesnt get into trouble, and hustles. Could sign head as a 3rd pg/sg behind dwill and price.Thoughts?
 
So the Hornets didn't get Head and Luther got the shaft.

As much as it would be fun for me to have him, the guy sucks and the Jazz should not blow their cap space on him. Getting Head for this team would be like buying a Hummer when gas prices are through the roof.
 
Meh, dont care either way. That far down the bench, it seems like it doesnt matter. He is a cool guy it seems I suppose.
 
Luther Head is not better than Dee Brown, Ronnie Price IMO. Considering that this year owners have overpaid nearly all of available FA, Head will not demand a league minimum, which actually I would be OK giving. Watching Price obviously makes me sick. I love his hustle but I do think he does not have pure PG skills. He cannot run a team like Jazz, properly. His hustle, character, athleticism might be the reasons why he has been with Jazz. Are there any other backup PG options? Neither of the players I have talked of are reliable options.

im an illini fan and luther is better then dee..Better size, better shooter, better athlete

Luther is better than Dee and Ronnie. However, I agree I'd rather have a true pg as our backup. But a good one will be too expensive. At this point, I'd love to see us bring in Lu or Shannon Brown. They both can handle the point in a pinch, both great athletes, and both can knock down shots. Ronnie and Gaines are way too inconsistent.
 
Rockets fans hated him. He was horrible everytime I saw him.
His shot sucks. He can't guard anyone.

Shannon Brown's agent said that with the Raja signing, neither Shannon nor Roger Mason would go to the Jazz. So they want more than 2.5 or don't want to be a deep backup.

Also if we could get Luther for around 1.5 a year or less go for it, if not, Sorry DWill and Luther.
 
Head signed with Nawlins for about 1.25 million/year. Probably not much above the leagued minimum for a 6th year player, I dunno, really.
 
Hop, you think he's worth it. You know him being from Illinois. Can shoot the three, but hasn't been playing of late. Had a pretty good rookie year, though. Why hasn't he progressed?
 
I dunno, Write. He's a very hard worker, all the teams he's played for praise his "professionalism." Very athletic, or at least was. Was the best defender on the team at Illinois when Deron slacked off a bit--always guarded their best player. He's a good passer, but not really a point guard at all, not a particularly good dribbler and doesn't really know how to "run" a team. Complete team player, though. I would think he every bit as good as a guy like Reddick, but I don't follow alla these guys and aint no scout.
