What's new

What do you want the Jazz lineup to look like next year?

We'd still lose to the Heat in the Finals...

Why not:
Deron/Westbrook/Price
Wade/Hayward/Miles
LeBron/Derrick Williams
Dirk/Bosh/Favors/Sap
Dwight/AJ/Kemba Walker/Any 7 year old girl/Kanter

1) Westbrook would ruin ball movement and is a punk
2) I think Wade is kind of overrated and don't want anyone from the heat/Hayward?/MILES?
3) See half of #2 and I think Durant is a better player IN a team since he doesn't demand to handle the ball (but can)/I'm really not sure about Derrick Williams
4) I forgot about Dirk I guess, I just naturally gravitate to players (bigs especially) that play defense/Bosh is the Rupaul of bigmen/too many people/too many people
5) Don't like Al's game (see half of #1)/I get it, you're trolling.

I was trying to make it realistic. We can't move our entire team in one off season. Durant for Miles trade goes down next year.

If my memory is correct, it was Steve Kerr who compared Jimmer to Nash. What I think he meant to say was that Jimmer compares to Michael Jordan...:)

Two things I noticed. You, like myself, are one of the very few posters here who seem to realize Favors could and probably should be playing the 5 better than anyone else we have. Am I wrong here? Secondly, you like Williams more than Kanter?
If the Jazz are dedicated to getting out and running (which I would hope would be the case if they keep Devin Harris), I love the potential of a Favors-Millsap-Williams-Hayward-Harris lineup. Run the ****ers out of the gym.

And I've actually seen DWill play a few games, and like what he brings to the table. Kanter is still a bit of a question mark, and is probably less amenable to different styles of play (whereas Favors, Millsap and Williams seem fairly adaptable and relatively versatile). Kanter looks like a bit of a plodder, which, on a purely superficial level, I don't much care for. If the guy is legit though, and the Jazz like him better than DWill, than obviously, considering my ignorance, I'm on board. Right now I prefer what DWill brings to the table though.

Whatever. Xenophobe.

In light of recent rumors of Portland maybe pursuing Harris.....

Andre Miller/Brandon Knight
Hayward/Miles
Batum/Singleton
Millsap/Favors
Jefferson/Okur

Jefferson/Okur/Favors
Millsap/Favors/Thompson
Hayward/Kirilenko
Knight/Miles
Harris/Watson

Jefferson/Okur
Millsap/Favors
Hayward/AK
Burks/Hayward/Miles
Harris/Knight

Jefferson/Kanter/Okur
Millsap/Favors
Kirilenko/Hayward
Hayward/Miles
Harris/Fredette

Obviously im not too picky. I like many of the players available. Kanter/Dwill/Knight/Fredette/Burk/ and both Thompsons would be nice

You start Burks over Hayward from the jump?

i had hayward at the 3. my lineups were not considering adding vet free agents to fill the 3 (unless we want AK to start). given this is a ty corbin squad now i dont know what to expect on rookie play time. but a future lineup with Jefferson/Favors/Hayward/Burks/Knight sounds pretty exciting. We'd have to see what Knight can do as a playmaker.

Better preorder NBA 2K12 then, that's they only way you're going to see Knight in a Jazz uni

Oh ill have 2K12. I'm the PSN's finest at the 2K series, but damn Devin Harris Jazz are hard as hell to play with.

But regardless, as long as we get Kanter, Williams, or Knight with the third I'm satisfied. I believe Fredette can succeed at the pro level too. And would like Thompson or Hamilton since I go to Texas but other than that I dont think Utah could **** this up that bad.

There's no way the Jazz keep Ak,Miles and Okur. I wouldn't be surprised to see 2 of these guys gone

Who is going to want a hurt Memo? I think he can be a good role player on a championship calibur team.

Jazz general manager Kevin O’Connor said Utah is preparing for the draft with the idea that veteran center Mehmet Okur might not return to action.

“What we’re planning on with Memo is to have him back and have him healthy,” O’Connor said. “How long it takes him to get back and into the flow of things, I don’t know. But you prepare for the worst, and you hope for the best.”

Okur is making progress during his rehabilitation and is expected to be in Salt Lake City by mid-June.

Sign that we take Kanter if available? I am more than willing to deal CJ. Who bites?
