I just sent Fes a message on Facebook. Hopefully it inspires him.

LOL, I liked your message![]()
Most people hated Fesenko but he has slowly changed peoples minds over the years. I have been a believer from his first games at the rocky mountain review.
I will repeat it again. The Jazz coaching staff puts offensive before defense. They always have. If somebody doesn't run the offense like they should they get benched. Even if they played great defense. And please don't argue that point because Fesenko has done exactly that since he has been here. This year he knows the plays better and he still gets benched. The coaching staff is blind to what impact he plays in the game. I am am blown away after the impact he has had this year and we still don't play him.
Fesenko like people said above boxes out 2 players and clogs the lane a lot.
The Jazz's problem is clogging the lane and rebounding. But those 2 things go hand in hand. If you don't clog the lane than you are running away from your man to help a slasher which leaves your man open for the offensive rebound.
Fesenko doesn't have to leave his man. He is so big he can clog the lane while staying close to his man. Nobody else on this team can do that.
Jefferson and Millsap are not boxing out like they should but they are also not in the best position to because they are playing help defense so much. Fesenko deserves more minutes and we should start a website because it seems most people agree with this. We need to send a message to the front office. Yes I am serious
hey man I'm totally with you. This is absurd. This is a really serious situation that puzzles the hell out of me. these coaches should know better and the staff should too. I wonder if plays ask the coaches why isn't he playing. but hey i'm 100% to start a website and get the attention of the jazz front office. we could coach this team to so much more success
This is going to be an ever-growing problem of Fesenko deserving minutes but not getting them. He's the next iteration of Marcin Gortat.
Here's the deal.
He had been hanging out at my pad and drinking A LOT lately. Dude can really put it down. Fes drinks more Goldschlager than anyone I've ever seen. That stuff is nasty, but he funnels it like water. He was late for practice the other day and drunk texted "hangin' at frankie's broke two goldies and licking them purley yellow flakes" (he meant pearly). Someone showed Jerry who apparently went ape **** on a basketball rack. So they send two D-League thugs over to pick him up (I live by the school). These two blokes walk in and look at Fes laying in the couch like it's gonna swallow him, and tell him he's got a contract to honor. Fes gave them his signature smug smile, held up a bottle of Peach Schnapps, and said "Sit, wait, Kyrylo have one more finish first. I have career drinking night right now. Sit drink." I don't know why the guy drinks this syrup garbage, but whatever.
Fes was all blotchy red faced and these two trainers or whatever they were, told him to get up or they'd drag him back to SLC kicking and screaming. Ahh hell fellas. I found out that's the wrong thing to say to a thick, 7 foot Ukrainian who'd been out of smokes for 45 minutes (ok, it was only 10, but you know Fes). All I could say was "Please, not in my house", but it was too late. Fes dropped his bottle, flew up, and swung his arms wide open while saying "what bitches". That did the trick. I guess a 7 footer getting up in your face sends the hard *** inside you somewhere deep. The two guys got all sheepish and one said "alright Fes, you know the drill. Let's just go." as he walked halfway out the front door. Fes was still pretty pissed. I don't know if it was because he had to leave or because he jumped up so fast. He was panting pretty hard from coming off the couch like that. Either way, he sorta pushed the other guy out the door, said "wait a minute", and let the entire contents of his stomach fly the second those two turned around. I swear the guy can puke on demand. He timed it like D-Will times the pick-and-roll. It could go without saying that puke cleaning duty sucked.
Anyway, he's in the doghouse now and not gonna play much for a while.
One more thing. Kyrylo wants to be called "Physiquo", not Fes. He thinks he's some James Bond man whore or something.
Bottoms up fellers.
It's an opinion. Having watched the games I have formed a different one.
Fes sometimes looks unsure of himself and lost out there but he never looks smaller than 7' 1" -- and that has a huge impact.
There's a reason that the bench players (including Fes and Elson) have been so effective; the biggest is the defense. None of these players has perfect focus, and Fesenko fouls way too much, but both Elson and Fesenko have regularly been part of comebacks and paint protection, despite the fouls. Fes needs to learn to dial down the defensive aggressiveness, not dial it up as you're implying. (Lackadaisical D has been more of AJ's problem, not the backup bigs.)Elson is just straight up out playing Fess. How many times has Fess out right fouled a player instead of actually trying to play defense.
Again, there's a reason that Elson and Fesenko are helping the second string to make such an impact--because they are doing just that--changing shots, and blocking them every once in a while. If you want a player to improve, then give him more than 7 or 8 minutes per available game. (Same goes for Hayward; the least that can be done is to put him in earlier than in the last 3 to 5 minutes when the game isn't in question.)I appreciate that he puts down a hard foul, but some of its just ridiculous, he could easily block or change a shot, but he just either doesnt have the mental or physical quickness to do so.
