Ok, sure there are questions at the PG and the C spot with Dante being so young and Neto maybe coming over, or whether Pleiss is any good, but there is a major decision that needs to be made: Who's at the 2?

Is Alec the future with his new cybernetic shoulder, or is his attitude better suited for a trade for someone a little less ball selfish? He is making enough with his new contract that he either starts or gets starter minutes as a sixth man off the bench for whoever he plays for.

This is a terrible poll. His only options are either be a superstar for us, or be traded? Also, for someone who is "ball selfish" he has still been able to increase his assists per game every season.

So you didn't see the one where he comes off the bench?

He makes too much money to not start or be a sixth man, and frankly, he makes too much money to be a sixth man anyway. So yes, either he stats or he is traded. You don't pay a end of the bench guy over ten mil a year. As for the 'superstar', I was exaggerating a bit, basically that means that -he starts-.

As for 'ball selfish', his assists increase is likely due to Corbin trying to use him at the point guard. He does have a tendency to try to go one on one with the ball more than most. BTW, I am not taking this season into consideration because of the shoulder. He said himself that his game suffered from not being able to raise the shoulder during play, hence more likely to pass the ball than go through agonizing pain by driving it in.

Leave it to Quin and FO to decide what's best for the team.

Yeah, don't vote in this polll cuz if we vote too much then our decision becomes the deciding factor. In fact, let's all stop posting on JF and let Quin decide everything.

he splits rotation minutes at 2/3 with Hood and Hayward with sprinkling's of Ingles and Millsap filling out the rest of the minutes. None of your options fit that. So I didn't vote. Essentially you have him either traded or great nothing in between. Even your one that he is coming off of the bench is saying we go get a SG in the draft. Which is unneeded. If he comes off of the bench it's not behind some rookie.

Finally someone who understands!

Burks is going to start.

If he doesn't get it fast, Hood will be breathing down his neck. If we start of slow or something, the scapegoat will probably be Burks.

As long as we are winning, it won't be an issue. If we start losing though, Burks probably gets benched for Hood.

All the mock drafts have us taking 2 or 3s with both the first and second round picks. Could it be that a lot of guys that occupied those positions this last year are headed to parts unknown?

Ok, I will concede that I flat out forgot Hood. My brain still says he's a bench guy, but yeah, he could be a viable option. In fact he is the biggest reason that there is a debate, because do you start Burks for ten mil or start Hood for his much smaller contract. I wish Burks had been feeling better so we could compare their games side by side better. Who's ceiling is higher? Does it make sense to pay them both the same in a few years and have them get similar minutes? So many questions.

So, Burks and Exum are starting, but the blame for slow starts will fall on Burks?

BOLD PREDICTION (I've made it before, but I'll keep saying it at appropriate times):
*Exum's leash will be shorter next year
*If Exum returns to the bench, then Hood and Burks will be the starting guards.

I didn't say if it was right or wrong, but that is the way most fans will see it, I believe.

You may be right about fan reaction. .... But.... I think a lot of people have patience with Exum while, at the same time, realize he's the weakest link in the starting group. Patience will wear thin (as we've already seen around here). I'm just saying there's an equally good chance that Exum is the scapegoat.

Yeah, but Exum is a weak link backed up by an even weaker link in Burke. So there won't be as much outrage because Exum, even if he isn't that good, is probably better than the alternative.

Burks is a potentially weak link (bad fit) backed up by a potentially strong link (good fit).

Thus my comment about Burks and Hood being the starting guards. Are you saying that fans aren't smart enough to recognize that Snyder doesn't need a traditional point guard?

Just don't think the organization is going to bench the 5th overall pick in favor of it.
