What's new

What is the worst call you made concerning the Utah Jazz?

I thought Corbin was the next great coach for the first half of his first full season.

I thought we would win the title in the 90's at least once.

I thought Greg ostertag was going to be our third star in the 90's (I was young, forgive me)

I thought kirilenko was going to be our best player for ten years after malone left, and lead us to contend again.

I thought ante tomic was the next pau gasol.

I though kanter was going to be a middle class mans karl Malone.

For me, it was probably Kanter. I had high hopes for him. He's an okay player and he could develop more still, but he obviously didn't live up to the #3 pick label and didn't do much overall for the Jazm.

When listening to the 97 draft, I thought we drafted the next great white PG to eventually take over for Stocks when we drafted 6'1" JACQUE VAUGHN out of KANSAS.

Can you blame me though, the height, the school, and the name all screamed white.Boy was I surprised when I saw his picture. SMH

Jeremy Evans!!!

What's the point?

I still like Jeremy Evans. I've never said he should play major minutes. Give him 15 min a game in the right situations and he makes us better. He plays well damn near every time.

Go re-read your Jeremy love!!!

15 way too many. Maybe 5.

Sorry to disappoint you?

Poor Jeremy. No matter how well he plays he can't get any love. Everyone ignores the results and only focuses on how skinny he is. As if being skinny somehow makes you a bad basketball player or that there never has been a skinny basketball player before.

When Jeremy plays more than 15 minutes a game, the Jazz have something like an insane 75% winning percentage.

It's not that he's too skinny, he's just not good enough.

That stat could be misleading. He probably plays more when the game is in hand - one way or the other.

What about his game is not good enough to have a bench role?

He's an excellent rebounder and shot blocker. He can put the ball in the hole by either dunking, tip backs, or even shooting. He worked a lot on his shot. It's pretty good. He hustles. He's bad ***. What's the problem?

Excellent rebonder? Lol.

He gets killed on box outs and overpowered by bigger PF's. He can jump really high sometimes and get some impressive boards, but I wouldn't call him an excellent rebounder. He is good when there isn't a competent PF in the game.

The biggest problem is that there are lots of dudes who can do that, and also do more than that.

Not sure why he isn't shooting. When he's been in recently teams haven't been respecting his shot at all and he hasn't attempted many. If he can do that maybe he can find more time.

He is really thin and does get pushed around a lot doe. Just because people say it all the time and it gets on your nerves doesn't mean it's not true.

His game just isn't good enough for a consistent bench role. He is a 10 mpg if the match up is favorable kind of guy.

Ya, he's an excellent rebounder.

Does he get push around a bit? Yes? But him being skinny is what gives him his advantage jumping higher and quicker than other players. That can be very useful if used in the right situation.

He's not going to be effect against everyone, but when it works, it works great. He can be our guy that plays above the rim better than anyone else. We now have Rudy, but Jeremy still has its uses.

You don't want to have a bunch of the same players who do the same things. It can be advantageous to have different weapons that keep the other team guessing and trying to figure how to stop you.
