Also, I'm not scared of a guy that's on the tail-end of his prime or tail-end of his career. If they give us a couple of good years, I'm not going to turn that down if I can't get more ideal production. It gives the Jazz time and options to figure out what the hell they're doing at the position and right now it looks bad.

The Heat have tried to trade Chris Andersen and Mario Chalmers to anyone who would have them, per sources around the league,

If true... then why not grab Chalmers? I don't really get it. Seems like a perfect fit, even (especially?) if, yeah, the guy's not a star.

it's a good reason why Utah should stay out of the FA market next season. Some of these contracts are going to be really, really bad. Almost all will be overpays.

Agreed. I wonder if a team will overshoot and have to dump a bad contract to sign a desired FA -- despite all the cap room everyone will have. Otherwise the Jazz may not be able to take on a bad contract for assets.

I would also support this, I think it would be great for the time being and also not cost much. If they are trying shed money we could probably get him for like a second round pick. They did just trade Shabazz though...

There's no rush; it's not like any other team in the league is beating down Miami's door. Neither Cotton nor Neto have been to training camp with the Jazz. Burke has been working hard to improve his game. DL and QS probably want to take a good, long look at all 3 before deciding to cut one of them to bring in a guy like Chalmers for a 1-year fix.

Since we aren't winning a championship this season, developing Neto and Cotton may prove far more valuable down the road than giving minutes to a player who wouldn't be on the team next season. That was the Corbin method.

the moon could fall out of orbit.

You're making a weak statement, bro. Stand for something or gtfo.

His BIG year could be Isiah Thomas lite. I'm not saying it will be 'Chris Paul BIG', I'm saying it'll be BIG by his standard.

This is the first time in a long while that I totally agree with you.

I like Chalmers game, he would be a good addition for the Jazz in case Burke does not improve.

how about we see if he can match Earl Watson's best year before we throw around the names of Hall of Famers?

you should learn how to spell his name. Otherwise, you're only spreading confusion.

(oh, nvm that's part of your shtick: humility, distraction, confusion, humility, distraction, confusion...)

It's just a typo bro, get over it. Nobody's comparing Trey Burke to THE Isiah Thomas.

I have basically zero interest in Chalmers.

Defense-first floor spreader that can handle the ball but doesn't need to in order to be effective, won't shoot you out of games, doesn't turn the ball over, and for basically free? And done all of this at the highest level possible? That doesn't sound like a good fit to you?

Maybe I'm living in the past. I don't know how he performed last season. At all, basically.
