What time is deadline today?

https://www.alwayssports.x4host.eu/

If you stop watching games does that mean we won't have to see your bad post anymore?

Not dealing Howard is an absolute waste of $2.2 million spent wisely on a guy that turned out well. He won't or shouldn't be back. He had value, but not to us. Jazz org went full retard on us.

Now it's on for Burks to get playing time and some chumps to get their feelings hurt for not being better than they are. If that doesn't happen, I'm going to join the morons of the board and start calling for heads.

Exactly! They turned a small investment into a solid asset to a contender but one that has/had an expiration date. That date just passed. He'll now leave next season and an asset just turned into nothing. All for a mythical hope at an 8th seed almost no one wants.

Talking to Harpring last night I mentioned the 8th seed and before I could finish he said "yeah, only to get swept". He then went on to say "ALMOST" *emphasis* everyone in and around the Jazz see the need to develop the youth more at the cost of the mythical chance for the playoffs. Him saying almost everyone seems to indicate a rift somewhere on goals and the future of this team. Now with the trade deadline passing I'm very worried we are going to be caught in limbo for at least a little while. Howard, CJ and Raja have zero future with this team and what they will become with the current young core. Disgusting.

It's a foregone conclusion that Howard, Miles, and Bell will continue to see minutes ahead of Burks.
It's even more obvious that Kanter and Favors will continue to combine for ~30min/game.

I liked the Howard signing because I was sure he'd be flipped for a pick or some other asset. I'm at a total loss for why this didn't happen.

The Jazz have to play the vets, because they've committed to them. KOC and Ty would feel real stupid standing there answering questions about why the Jazz played the vets all season, didn't trade them and then started playing the youngsters.

Wonder how the youngsters will respond to the thought of watching veterans suck it up. Before the deadline they atleast had hope for a change, now they don't even have hope. Is there even an incentive to try hard in practice?

And What happens next week when jazz are 5 games behind Minny for the 9th spot?

You thought last years post tradedeadline melt down was fun? Well, watch it again.

Does ANYONE think that at this stage, Burks is doing anything but thinking something along the lines of "Just how THE **** can I not get on the court again? This **** is absolutely absurd." CONSTANTLY?

If the Jazz aren't careful, they're going to burn a bridge before it's even built. Sometimes benching a guy just because he's young isn't a good idea. I'm pretty sure Deron would agree.

Would they feel even more stupid not making the playoffs and simultaneously delaying development and making the young players bitter?

Burks is clearly better then Bell and that is my biggest problem. It's not like it is a toss up so the went with Bell because of experience. Burks is clearly better then Raja. Damnit I am pissed.

DJ Jazzy Jody just talked to KOC. Jody said to expect a huge summer/fall trades for the Jazz. However, it doesn't make any sense because Howard, CJ, and Tinsley will all be expired.

People shouldn't be too surprised given that Raja, Howard and CJ aren't the players teams are going to go out of their way to trade for.

basically putting us in the same position as we were in startign the year. A whole year wasted. One that could have been huge for the franchise. Que idiotas!!!

But Howard was. Teams were contacting the Jazz about Howard. The Jazz brushed them off.

"We're 10th in the West with absolutely no chance to make noise in the playoffs and in a tenuous position as an organization, hardly having an identity, and the only thing we have going for us is our position in the future. We're good. We'd like to keep a guy that signed with us explicitly to raise his value so he could earn his last real contract and certainly won't or shouldn't be back. No thanks. Keep whatever it is that helps us."

I agree that not playing the youngsters is a mistake, but playing them would be like admitting the Jazz Managment has made a mistake--that only happens years after the event.

loving your insight in all this. most people would have **** the bed, and just been in awe. you actually poked around, asked questions, took pics,
and gave us tidbits. thank you it was fun.

They can go sit on their pride and spin. I hope it gives them the clap.

People poked around about a lot of our players, but in the end nothing of value was offered.

Teams didn't want Howard that badly. There was some mild interest it seemed. Anything of true value would
have got him imo.

not sure how we got off on the wrong foot. But, yeah, I've been saying these exact same things in my "bad posts"

I expect nothing anymore. Jazz have become GS or Clippers--perpetually selling hope. So what if they trade Gordan and Milsap for futrue protected lottery pick.

Not in their eyes. In my eyes I would have taken that Subway card with 4/10 stamps needed for a free six inch and ran.

True value? No one is asserting that Josh Howard was the key to get Dwight Howard. A 2nd rounder and a bust player is better than Howard walking.

EDIT: OH! And don't forget a spot in the rotation for Burks without anyone's precious little feelings getting hurt.
