Yet, most of those top 10 picks came from weak drafts.
Typically, top 10 draft picks result in a franchise player. How many of those do we have?
More like 2 out of the 10, and thats in a good year.

So by saying that burks should take Hayward's minutes, what exactly did you mean? I mean, you have, as you stated, watched more basketball than all of us, so you should know that a player who plays around 30 minutes a game can't really play that much more. So when you say burks should get Hayward's minutes, do you hunk burks is some kind of superman and can play more minutes than actually exist in a game? I mean, how many triple overtime games have you seen in your huge sample size if basketball games?
^derp
Gordon Hayward 36.2 min
Alec Burks 27.7 min
I will try and say this really slow.
If.........Alec..............takes.........Gordons.........minutes...........then.............Hayward ..........would............get..........Burks...........minutes. .........Alec.........would.............start............and...........Gordon............would..........come .............off.........the................bench.
If you disagree with that ok. It is however possible for them to switch roles and it's not that hard of a concept to grasp.
My problem is that I'm not sure Hayward is worth paying 10 per to come off the bench.
Why is he going to come off the bench?
Why is he going to come off the bench?
Ok. Whatever.
But there is no way in hell burks should be taking minutes from Hayward when we have a perfectly horrible Richard Jefferson to hold the bench down.
The league is not trending toward a 2 PG league at all.......
I don`t say much here but here it goes. what I see is that Corbin haven't figured out how to utilize the players he has and to put them in position to exceed. just my two cents. so tell me where I`am wrong.
Gross.
Use $40 million for a real player who actually helps you.
Use the GS pick on mich's Larry bird. Or Young. Or Early.
Let Hayward walk unless he's willing to become the 6th man. He just doesn't shoot well enough or create to warrant a new contract and starter role. Burks should have been given Hayward's minutes.
The defensive wing combo of Gordo+Alec is ****ing terrible. That + Burke and Enes, who seems to think his arms should be glued to his sides when he defends in space, and you're not ever winning games. If Burks and Gordo are 2 of 3 key wing players on your team, the third had better be a pretty ****ing amazing defender at the 3. Unfortunately, the middling offensive talent of Gordo and Alec also necessitates he be an elite scorer.Hayward CAN play SF. With the exception of the crappy way he's been used this season, which I believe contributes to his shooting woes, he's shown he has very good 3-pt range.
I don't understand why it has to be one or the other: give Burks 36 mins and give Hayward 36 minutes. That still leaves 24 mins at wing for a third player. What was WRONG this season was playing RJ so much. You CAN have Gordon and Alec playing together; they've closed games a few times. A halfway intelligent coach could sell Alec on coming off the bench for at least another year. Midway through the first, bring Alec in, give Gordo a rest. Then bring Hayward back at SF, where he'd initially be matched up against a backup SF.
Letting Hayward walk is silly. He's a good player having a bad year. His shooting stats WILL recover and, then...if necessary...he can be moved for another player and picks. But simply not matching a contract because it's $1-2M higher than ideal means the Jazz have gotten nothing in return for a lottery pick. Now if that money could net a FA of equal or greater ability, then yes, let him walk. But I don't see that player on the market.
