What's new

What will Boston do now?

I'd be done ... for at least 4 years.

I HIGHLY doubt it would happen (mostly because I'm putting all my faith in Lindsey but also because we have two young bigs) but based on our FO's apparent liking for the guy and the market, it's sadly feasible.

Before someone freaks out and says that this belongs in General NBA (Cy, I'm looking at you), is there anyone that the Jazz should target from the Celtics?

With Rondo being out the rest of the year do you think they try for a PG (Mo, Tinsley or Watson) to try and help them get into the playoffs?

Do they go for a scoring Big to help with their offensive woes (Al)?

Is there anyone worth trading for on that roster?

Is it worth trying to get Rondo and rehab him?

I do not think they will get front court player cause they've got KG, Brandon Bass, Jeff Green, Sullinger, Melo. But their guard rotation is just pathetic now without Rondo. Bradley and Barbosa will share min at PG and they need to think the salary cap situation for the next year so Pierce's gone for sure.

Has anybody traded for a player who just got seriously injured?
No way Jazz should go after Rondo now.
No telling how good he'll recover from this.

Bogut did not just get seriously injured when GS got him.
He was on the mend with some kind of timetable.
Anyways. Celtics only have one month to trade Rondo.
Do you think any team will trade for him now?
Rondo may not have surgery for another week.

Rondo definitely still has value to teams that aren't there yet but hope to be soon. Namely, the Jazz.

I've gone from absolute zero on Rondo to room temperature. All I do know is that I wouldn't trade anything of significant future importance to get Rondo. But for some combination of our FAs, Evans, and the GS pick I'd be hard-pressed to say no.
