What Will You Do If Dl Resigns Ty???

I doubt Corbin gets resigned. The opportunity we have with the Core5 is pretty special. I would have to think the millers see the advantage in investing in a coach with more talent development skills. Seemed to me like Try was just a quick easy transition from Sloan leaving so suddenly. I doubt the brass were planning long term with Corbin.

Then please why did they extend him if he was a just a transition piece?

As to the OP's question, I will definitely be outta here. I have for the most part stopped watching the games now. I don't think I could stand anymore of a Corbin-led team. Which is why I despise Corbin the coach so much because he has ruined the enjoyment I have received all these years of watching Jazz basketball.

simple i am not watching any jazz games like 9 games already?

first time in like 10-15 years i miss this much games.

i will watch games when either of these things happen: "corbin is fired" or "core 5 starts and plays 30+mminutes"

if corbin is resigned i wont watch games till he is gone or if jazz are led to the finals by corbin

If the Jazz don't resign Ty, what will be the company line? We are going a different direction??? Our defense really sucked??? Ty loves vets too much? Ty's substitute pattern baffles even the luke warm fans. I'm scared to death DL thinks he's doing a good job and will resign him.

It's all about the horses - if DL can build a team with actual depth and talent they could probably win 50 games even with Corbin (wouldn't expect much in the playoffs though).

If The Jazz re-sign Corbin and the off-season moves revolve around re-upping Marvin and Hayward and giving a one year deal to a Caron Butler or Jason Terry type - then I'm outta here. Not shelling out $200 on LP to watch a season of that crap when I can watch a much more interesting train wreck (Knicks, Nets) for free.

they might win 50 games.

but come playoff tie corbin is gonna get raped like he got raped by popopvich

If we end up tanking the tank and "capitalizing" on an easy opportunity to "shine" amongst the non-playoff teams, then resign Corbin, I would guarantee the rest of the summer unfolds pretty similar to your scenario above. The lack of commitment to a tank is what has me skeptical. I don't see much middle ground here.

Who is Corbins replacement? I guess my list would be either George Karl or Tom Thibodeau if **** hits the fan in Chicago. Doubt Tom is a realistic option though as I'm sure someone like New York would pay him top dollar.

I have always been a fan of Jeff Van Gundy, who has made it clear during broadcasting that he is hoping for another coaching opportunity and has also mentioned how he has admired the Jazz organization. I think he would be a good start. He was a great coach during his day, and has a love for the game. Grabbing J.V.G would be the best bet for the money too. Since he hasn't coached in a few years his price tag has dropped.

I went out of town for work this week. I missed the games on Monday and Wednesday. Normally I record every game and watch them later. This week I didn't even care.

I find myself caring less and less about the team. If Corbin comes back I can easily see myself invested in the team through the end of November but then quickly lose interest after that. I certainly won't be spending any money on Jazz products or tickets too the game. Both of which are too bad because my son is getting to the point that he wants to go to a game.

Oh well.

What is JVG calling card as a coach? All I know he is that Sloan kicked his *** in the PO when he had a talented Houston team.

Not much changes for me. We suck and would continue sucking unless we get Parker, Embiid or Wiggins in the draft.

I will not attend or watch games, buy Jazz merchandise and will have extremely limited interest in the team. In my heart of hearts, I will always have an affinity for the Jazz of Malone and Stockton, and even Deron, Boozer and Okur. But I simply cannot tolerate the train wreck that is a Corbin-coached squad.

And I hope that mirrors the feelings of many others. I also hope someone affiliated with the Jazz reads this board and see our comments.

Ty is a below average head coach (and I'm being generous). Corbin returning means the Millers and DL are content with an 8th seed and just milking whatever they can out of their season ticket holders and corporate sponsors.

If Corbin comes back, Jazz may as well start trading players as they come up on contract renewals because the team is going nowhere. This season Utah has had NO offensive system and a porous defense - despite the mandate for Ty to show progress in this one specific area. If Ty returns, just have Utah operate at the salary floor each season so the Millers can continue to turn a profit. Then they can sell the team when attendance drops to the bottom 1/3 of the league. It has already gone from #6 in 2012 to #9 last season to #14 this year.

I doubt JVG is hungry to coach anymore - he makes a **** ton of money doing a tenth of the work a successful NBA Coach puts in.

Content with the 8th seed? Corbie couldnt even sniff the playoffs with the C4 and a handful of vets. They re-sign Ty we'll never see the playoffs until he is gone.

What would I do?

Then probably continue watching the games and complaining about it.

When a team is rebuilding you really need something to root for and I feel like you just don't want to root for Coach Corbin. I think he is an adequate coach, but I don't think he is inspiring or an inspiring choice. Would rather Utah go with a discipline and principle-centered veteran like Jeff Van Gundy or Sloan or a high-risk, young, up-and-comer like the Celtics did with Brad Stevens or Miami did with Spoelstra.

He's a rich man's mike brown. He's a bit overrated. When he was with houston he kinda let T-mac run the offense

Lmao Corbin, an adequate coach. Guy runs a crackhead offense and plays a Small Forward whose career role was reduced to a benchwarmer 2 years ago 30 minutes a night.

Making me pull out the ole "Gais like you.." again man... smh
