What would our record be right now with Dante?

I like both of these guys at times for various reasons so I'm not trying to hate on them. But...

Watching Neto and Burke struggle last night had me thinking. Do you think we would have won the Cavs, Heat and Warriors games with Dante? If we did where would our confidence be right now? Would we be a contender for the WCF's?

Burke and Neto were a combined 2-12 FG and 0 FT for 4 pts. total last night. And Neto looked lost on D. -Edit- My bad, after watching his first stint again, Neto was great on D.

In the Cleveland game Neto had 0 points in 12 min. but dished 5 AST and had a couple of steals. Burke had a solid game with 16 pts, 3 AST and 2 REB and only 2 TO in 24 min.

In the Heat game Neto had 0 pts, 1 AST and 1 STL in 15 min. Burke had 6 pts., 3 REB, 2 AST, and 2 STL in 27 min.

Then there is the D...

A lot of suppositions, I know.

I think they'd be 10-6, so two more wins. We definitely miss him. Is there any chance of him playing late this season, or are the Jazz just going to rule him out for the entire year?

No way to really tell but I say 11-5 or 10-6 instead of 8-8. I think we'd have won 2-3 of the Detroit, Miami and Portland games.

These.

As for your wcf question. No I don't think we would have a chance students the western conference finals.
I think we would still be worse than at least the warriors and spurs and probably a couple of other teams

I like the 3 wing offense(Burks,Hood,Hayward},but saying that I didn't like Hood shooting a 3 pter without even trying to punch the ball inside .Dante would have tryed to get a better shot.Another mistake that probably would have been avoided was Burks turnover when crossing the half court line in crunch time, that one hurt.
But what has been most notable is the speed of the defense has slowed down,it negates the length of everyone else when Utah has the advantage there.
Last nite reaffirmed to me that Utah would be one of the best NBA teams if Exum was playing just by how good theyd be on defense.

Neto was quite good on D. Burke was a nightmare on D.

Hmmm. I didn't watch Burke really but in Neto's first stint he seemed a little lost to me. He was losing his man(mostly Steph) big time, if I recall correctly. Granted, everyone loses Steph.

Neto is further along than Dante. You can't win games without buckets and Dante doesn't do enough help on D to make up for his lack of any offense whatsoever. He's a spacing liability and we already have enough of those.

Dante's defense is the most overrated thing this fanbase has ever produced. He is at best quite pedestrian by every measure.

Hahaha, you make me smile.

Dante's ability to stay in front of his man is impressive, and so is his length when challenging perimeter shooters. He has some defensive deficiencies, such as dying on screens like a fragile kitten. I think he's probably worse on the offensive end than Neto, since the latter at least search dribbles and distributes instead of just standing in the corner. They have identical stats, with the offense running a bit faster with Neto, and the defense being a bit worse. I think we would have been 8-8 or 9-7.

He gets a couple perimeter blocks a year. That's what has everyone blinded to how spectacularly awful he was at virtually everything else. Neto is thus far nothing special either. There wouldn't be much of a difference having one or the either starting.

Neto can't get in front of defenders like Exum can. Exum's athleticism alone puts him far above Neto.
