What's new

What would our record be right now with Dante?

Hmmm. I didn't watch Burke really but in Neto's first stint he seemed a little lost to me. He was losing his man(mostly Steph) big time, if I recall correctly. Granted, everyone loses Steph.

Don't think you recall correctly. Neto mostly kept him in control. Did a good job. Jazz would not even put Burke on the PG generally and the Dubs were going after him all the time. Atrocious on d last night.

Even with Dante of last year we would probably be 2 games better. With an improved Dante, we might be 3-4 games better.

Pretty sure Franklin is just trolling. Anyway, I agree with Cy in that we would be 3-4 wins better right now with a healthy Dante. At the very least, he gives us a consistent player that we could plan on being on the court for 30 minutes a night, instead of Burke and Neto fluctuating night to night in minutes.

Neto does not seem to be anything more than a third string point guard at this point.

Oh, and Exum's defense is a lot better than Frank is giving him credit for.

Neto did not look lost on defense last night. That's a ****ing clueless thing to say.

I'm confident he would have done a better job on mo williams. And it would have been nice to have some length in front of lillard and mccollum when they were bombing away on us.

Yeah whoever said he got lost referred to the hard screen Bogut set on him to start the game. The screen didn't get called out AND it was illegal (like literally every Bogut screen ever)

You're right, I just watched his first stint again and he was excellent on D. Bogut set two ridiculous moving screens that were not called, I just must have thought he was losing his man. My apologies to Neto.

You're right, my bad. See above.

Neto is further along than Dante. You can't win games without buckets and Dante doesn't do enough help on D to make up for his lack of any offense whatsoever. He's a spacing liability and we already have enough of those.

Dante's defense is the most overrated thing this fanbase has ever produced. He is at best quite pedestrian by every measure.

Worst take in this thread. I'll just toss this in the "we'll probably be better without him" trash pile where it belongs.

Trolling? lol. Were you one of those who claimed I was trolling when I predicted how bad Kanter would be? Fishonjazz was I know for sure. Some of you beg to be "trolled" only to eat crow and adopt my predictions/ride my sack a couple years down the road. It's cool, feel trolled. In fact, I'll troll with my next post.

Guys, did you know Dante gets 0.2 blocks per game? That's HUGE for a guard. I think it might be the best of all time in fact. His perimeter defense is the best ever, 0.2 blocks yo! Even David Locke agrees with me and all the announcers and 1280zone guys for the Jazz. They ALL say Dante has top notch defense.
