Lagunitas is legit.
Water is way overrated.
In fairness to alcohol, I've done lots of dumb **** sober too.
I love grapes, grew up in a grapevine patch in the desert. They get ripe, then riper. If you store them in the crisper it gets tempting to drink the rinse water, if you leave them in the sun you get raisins with a buzz.
My great-grandpas included a wine-maker and a pub proprietor, and my dad kept beer in the fridge, probably for educational purposes. As a chemist I studied yeast and did some basic evaluations of distillation techniques, and even did research on yeast for several years on a government grant. . . . it was politically unproductive though because it demonstrated that living things develop resistance to toxic heavy metals because they start producing lots of stuff that will sequester the heavy metals and enable the host organism to excrete them. . . .
But I decided just not to drink ethanol because I have all the signs of a born addict to begin with. I can't even stop myself from eating Doritos, or Smarties, or whatever is within reach. The only way I can keep my health is by working without munchies in sight. . . .
To be fair to alcohol, I've done more dumb ^^^^ (whatever PKM typed above) than any three of you young turks.
I don't drink water much, except in hot weather. . . ..
I do drink about a gallon of milk a day, though. . . .
Was in a freakin' wild 90 mph rollover. . .. my hand was smashed on the steering wheel by a 120# Chow Chow with his collar caught on the rear view mirror. Fun time having the glass dug out of that hand. ( They didn't get it all. Three years later some glass worked it's way to surface. . . .) Doctor commented on my bones being about age 20. . . .nothing broken.
