What's new

What's going on with Burke?

There were also no centers, since Embiid went 3. Which is the point of why some of us see this as a dismissal of Kanter and Gobert. After having the year Trey had, I don't think he is in a position to be dismissing anyone on the team.

He also said guard of which he is one. Such an over reaction to an on the spot question.

AT least he was there, wearing a Jazz hat.

I've already said I thought this was good, and Ipraised how he was very open and polite to Exum. He's not all bad. I can take issue with a comment, and not hate the player and everything about him.

Did you guys hear in the draft night that he said the Jazz' biggest need is a legit Center?

I stopped reading at this. If you have a source or link, please provide it, otherwise you're trolling in subpar fashion.

Once again, you are assuming that everyone who takes issue witha certain something has the same issue, or level of concern. He's not all bad, he's not all good. Already praised half of his attitude (maybe it was in the other thread discussing this), but acting like he didn't say something that was a slant on his teammates is disingenuous.

What's wrong with you? A guy that just finished his rookie season shooting 38 percent from the field, 33 percent from the behind the three point line, being undersized and a liability on the defensive end talking like this? Who are you? A superstar? What a douchebag.

I always said that he could be a solid back up but no way he will ever be a legit starting PG in this league.

I hate this kids attitude and character. Definitely not what the Jazz organisation stands for!

We needed a legit PG and we finally got him. He has the size, length, quickness and potential to be a great defender at the one and two position. So happy about Exum.

I hope the Jazz trade Burke as quick as possible! He is a cancer and will destroy our team chemistry if he stays. No way I want him go be considered as a leader for this team!

So do ya think there's a possibility you might have overreacted just a tad bit here?

smfh... mods should really start approving which topic thread is okay and not okay when ppl post.

Um, no. This is a forum of free flowing discussion and opinions, not a totalitarian propaganda site where we all are assimilated. Things aren't black and white. Truth is almost always in the grey.

For what it's worth, we do need a legit center. I am really hoping this turns out to be Kanter and/or Favors.

When Kanter starts helping us win games it will no longer be a need... but for now he is right.

Also, Trey handled the drafting of another point guard in stride. Pretty mature of him... MCW was totally caught off guard and was kind of like I hope they keep me.

I was just impressed Trey was there!
Someone obviously thought... Exum is high on our board and there is a chance he falls to 5. If that happens his first reaction may be "I don't think I will fit in a team that drafted a PG last year". His first reaction could have been quite negative, at least hesitant. Someone had the thought "If Trey is there to welcome him before he even gets to the stage it may go far to ease his concerns".
If it was Trey who thought this far ahead I am VERY impressed. If the FO encouraged it... still a good move. No way it was coincidence...

Kanter should be played as power forward, since none of them gaurd eachother anyways:

Aldridge - no D
Dirk - no D
Boozer - No D
Griffin - no D
Randolph - gets by because of Gasol.
Kevin Love - hahaha!
Ryan Anderson - hahahahahahaha
McRoberts - not a rim protector
Thad Young - quick off ball, but overmatched with bigger opponents
Manimal - athletic, but out of position a lot, and is over matched size wise.
David Lee - haha

You think maybe he meant a guy who can makes plays consistently with his back to the basket? Cuz the Jazz have zero of those dudes.

Less disengenuous than assuming that is what he was implying.

All of you who constantly say you are embarassed are a bunch of little girls. Sure, OP was over the top, but the comment is worthy of discussion. Why are so many people affraid to discuss things?

Exactly!!! Showed willingness to go the extra mile and showed loyalty to the franchise. Also some nice leadership.
