What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

The Maze Runner was surprisingly good. Low expectations sure helped but the acting didn't bother me at all except some for that girl and the story had some depth and character development. It was a bit expository but I don't mind it. I think it set up a good foundation for the sequels.

It was nice to take a break from all the Bergmans and Tarkovskys. 7/10.
I thought the maze runner would suck and so I have not seen it..... but everyone who has saw it seems to have good things to say about it

So today my family went and saw Unbroken a unbelievable story, not so good movie. Guy's story deserved a better movie.

Pretty sure I lol'd during the preview of unbroken or whatever. It's on my list of never ever see no matter what movies.

Looks like one of those cheesy Mormon movies tbh.

Just saw dumb and dumber to.
It sucked pretty bad

If it's an consolation, I think it is absolutely terrible. How terrible? SPOILER ALERT: Their camp is split between people who want to find a way thru the maze and those who are opposed to letting others try because... they're evil or something. So finally, after many sacrifices and hardships, the good guys find a way through, only to be followed by one of the evil guys who know absolutely nothing about the maze! So all that **** was for nothing since one person with zero knowledge or ability can just walk past the maze!

Also, the "character conflict" is of the Twilight variety. It's not even worth the time it takes to torrent.

Just saw Guardians of the Galaxy again. I don't care what anyone says, I would have a threesome with the blue avatar chick and green skin chick faster than OneBrow can cry racism.

Sweet, sweet, Haysuse.

Hobbit Battle of Five Armies is probably the worst movie i have seen at a theatre.

Yeah, I'm tired of this formulaic schtick with dungeons & dragons-caliber characters searching themselves for moral inspiration and tempting death at every opportunity. The first couple of movies were good, epic even, but 6 such films is a bit much. It's completely predictable now, even if you're not familiar with the story.

You are right it is Young Adult as much as it gets but that doesn't mean you should enjoy it. There were some things to complain about but I didn't let that bother me because I knew I wasn't watching a great movie. May be you just saw it with high expectations whereas I saw it with low expectations.

I hate this excuse when it comes to film. Being entertaining and intelligently made are not mutually exclusive. As I mention that, a movie like Die Hard comes to mind. That film is hugely entertaining but one that is well-crafted in almost every way.

I have no problem with YA. The Giver is still one of my favorite books (not that **** movie though). I just didn't find a lot to like about the Maze Runner. I will say though, the maze itself is incredible. It's an engineer's wet dream.

Maybe reading about the teenagers is better than watching them :D

Just saw the last Hobbit. People who claim it sucked are buffoons who are more concerned with acting smart than enjoying a good flick. "It didn't follow the book at all! LOL" -- STFU and enjoy a truly epic trilogy.

Yes, STFU and enjoy a 10 hour borefest adaptation of a short children's book.

P.S. I haven't actually seen the movies. But I thought I'd butt in with an uninformed opinion regardless.

The Giver is the movie I most recently saw. It was definitely just all right to me. I think it would have been better had it been made closer to the time the book came out.

The book is amazing and based on the garbage trailer, I have no interest in seeing it.

It was one of those cases where the movie didn't look all that great, but based on how much I loved the book and its sequels I figured I'd give it a whirl. It was definitely disappointing.
