Depends on why they are saying it. If they genuinely liked it, then good for them. I try to avoid telling people that they are wrong about what their personal interests may be (obviously as long as they are legal and not hurting anyone - so anyone preferring snuff films is not included in this discussion). If they say they like it because it is the pretentious thing to say, then so be it. But not always easy to prove.

This may not always apply when discussing politics. I'm trying.

You are right. I'm sure there are a few that genuinely enjoyed that episode. If you meet one, let me know. That being said, I stand by my "douche alert" comment. I'd bet more people that love that episode are just trying too hard.

For those complaining about not enough character development in Rogue One, what do you have to say about Kylo Ren in the Force Awakens? He was the main character. Do we know what drove him to the dark side? Do we know what motivates him? Why does he want to copy/impersonate Darth Vader so much? Why did he need to kill his father?


How about Poe and Finn, what do we know about them? Not a whole lot!


And the plot? It's the same plot as 'A New Hope'!!! Have you guys not noticed that? The discovery of a new/young jedi. The droid hiding a secret plan/message. It all ended with an attempt to destroy the 'weapon', a copy of the Death Star only 4 times larger, by hitting the oscillator. And oh by the way the 'Death Stars' all has that same weak point that once you hit it the whole thing blows up!!!


I feel like Roque One is more original, more back story, fits well within the 2 trilogies and characters are just as interesting.

Is that the one with Kylo ren? I fell asleep during that one.

Though what I saw of it I liked. That jedi chick was pretty hot.

Sounds good man would be interested to hear your thoughts. If you didn't like The Force Awakens chances are you probably won't love it but it is a bit different too so you never know.

Personally I didn't like the characters in The Force Awakens especially Poe and Finn, but love the characters in Rogue One.
