What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Sounds good man would be interested to hear your thoughts. If you didn't like The Force Awakens chances are you probably won't love it but it is a bit different too so you never know.

Personally I didn't like the characters in The Force Awakens especially Poe and Finn, but love the characters in Rogue One.
I actually liked the force awakens from what I saw of it. I just fell asleep during it but that don't mean much. I was way tired and the movie was free (my wife's work rented out a theater for the premiere).

Just out of interest, what does everyone think of Finn in The Force Awakens? I thought he was too cartoonish as one of the prominent characters and not very believable. We also didn't get a lot of background info on him other than that he was taken from his family since he was young and was forced to become a stormtrooper. Also didn't think he was a good match as Rey's love interest (if it turns out to be that - I don't think it's clear yet).

Thoughts?

Background? He is a storm trooper. You are basically a robot.

He had a family, he wasn't a clone.

He was taken from his family at a young age. Storm Troopers come in, kill everyone, take babies, raise them as storm troopers. There isnt any specific background story to tell. You have really weird complaints.

Whatever. My main question was what you think of him as one of the prominent characters?

Agreed on Finn sucking. Dude couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.

Damn, I thought he was the best part of the movie. Only character that wasn't a rehash.

He is a good actor. Better than Rey I guess. Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac is top-notch, though.

And they did a good job of not limiting him to just a comic relief. I felt he tied things together with his energy.

I watched Pacific Rim two nights ago. Now that is an example of bad acting, besides Idris Elba. Still a dope dumb action movie tho.

Don't like to judge the book by its cover but some movies you can judge the quality by its trailer.... I sorta knew Assassins Creed was gonna be pretty average when I saw the trailer last week.

The trailer looked decent. The movie is regarded as one of the worst movies of the year, not average.

Hitchcock marathon on TCM!Just finished The Birds. Vertigo up next, then Rear Window, Shadow of a Doubt and The Man Who Knew Too Much.

I remember reading some good reviews. Was surprised to see it got %17 on RT.

I saw its trailer in Turkish so I probably attributed its suckiness to being dubbed.

The birds is my favourite movie of all time. I hope that you get the metaphor of 'the birds' as describing the women around the protagonist's life and that the story is really about them.
