What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

RT is garbage imo. It's not perfect but IMDB is such a better indicator as to the quality of a movie.
 
I really don't care what a critic thinks of a movie. They more than likely don't share my tastes. If a movie sounds and looks good, I'll watch it. If it doesn't, I won't.

La La Land has terrific ratings. I'm sure it's a good movie. It looks like something I would hate. Therefore, I won't watch it. This isn't a difficult process. It's called "thinking for myself". Some people seem to not be able to do that here.
 
LOL .. nobody here is taking a certain critic's view seriously as if it's life and death. We all watch the movie ourselves and form our own opinions. It's just interesting sometimes to see what others think about the same movie that's what we're doing here in this thread and maybe recommend some good movies we've seen.
 
He passed almost 4 years ago but Roger Ebert's reviews are still hands-down the best.. Seeing as he won a Pulitzer it's not really a fair competition tho

If anything I think it tends to skew towards the high side. Captain America this year got 90% for example, not sure I would give it that high a score.


Looking at last year. Spotlight's got 96% .. I mean, it was good but was it really THAT good?


It Follows got 96% ... it certainly wasn't THAT good neither IMO.

So anyway, 2017 is supposed to be a blockbusting year for movies.


Guys, I mean, seriously, according to this video, there are already at least 30 legit movies to look forward to. I mean that's like nearly a movie a week!!!

Authenticity? Every single Japanese anime character looks white. They aren't even authentic to their own race.
