And yet, you care about the All Star game.

I mean, I enjoy watching it. I enjoy watching the Oscars too. I meant more about people caring who wins/loses. I dont care about the results of the All-Star game. Some people just get so worked up over the Oscars and who "deserves" to win.

I don't know what you're talking about. But sure, whatever. I only mentioned the Oscars because of the hilarious mix up at the end. I don't personally watch the Oscars or any other award shows (All Stars included).

Just people's reactions on twitter when a movie wins or doesn't win. Same with any award show. Always some huge outrage about someone getting robbed or someone winning too many awards or not enough awards.

Haven't seen "Made" with Vince Vaughn, Jon Faverau and Puff Daddy in 10 years. It's still great and very underrated tho..

2-stars on netflix????

Jurassic 5 - Quality Control for musical accompaniment!

The opening boxing scene is awesome..

I just rewatched Equilibrium(Christian Bale and Sean Bean) and Inception(Leo DiCaprio, Joseph GL). 2 of my favorites.

Nocturnal Animals: Solid. One big metaphor. Shannon was great. The main antagonist also very solid. Reminded me visually/sound-wise of DePalma's cheesy works but this didn't feel cheesy.

Arrival: Not so original but I still liked it a lot. More than Nocturnal Animals. The intrigue of the alien's purpose was a solid hook and DV showed the aliens pretty much from the getgo unlike most alien flicks which wait til the end or never show them. I absolutely loved the score which was not eligible for an Oscar because it was, in short, too similar to Shutter Island's by another composer, which I have to vehemently agree with. Saw some online saying it's ashame when they sound virtually identical.

Allied: Meh.

I liked nocturnal animals quite a bit but I didn't like the ending.

Loved arrival.

I saw "The Great Wall" tonight and enjoyed it more than I expected. It was a free movie, and I won $50 in a drawing at the event, so it was a great night.

I don't fully know what to make of the allusions to the Bible, Shakespeare, and Hemingway--I can only recognize their basic existence in the background--but I feel comfortable saying it's the most intellectually stimulating and emotionally moving superhero movie ever. It translates the content of the most influential comics, Watchmen and The Dark Knight Returns, in a way no film adaptation has before. You sometimes hear people describe what they view to be the better superhero movies as being "more than just a superhero movie"--in the case of Logan, that statement actually rings true to me.

That's cool. Superhero movies are getting so stale.
