What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

The French Connection (1971). Damn good cop thriller movie. Check it out. Gene Hackman. My amateur eyes see excellent cinematography.

The first Rated R movie to win the best Picture (since the introduction of the rating system). Hackman won the best actor, Friedkin the best director, and it was nominated/won a few more..

"Fox Fire" (2012 version, have not read the book or seen the original movie from 96). My type of movie. The leader girl's face and revolutionist attitude reminds me of my wife and why I fell in love with her.

I post, therefore I am.

Yeah one of the best of ALL TIME. I really should re-watch it, haven't seen it for over 10 years.

Anime was too good for me to go check it out with Scarlett Johansson performing it. I have no expectations towards a movie on it anyways. It was awesome enough.

Watched Under Siege with the lads at work Tuesday night, no matter how many times I watch it I still laugh my head off. The cake scene is awesome tho...

Is French Connection 2 any good? I'm gonna check that out soonish.

Nah its the poor relation to the first. Think the original won the best movie Oscar. if you're getting into old films watch Chinatown by Polanski

pgab,

How did you get your hands on M? Always wanted to see it.

If you've never seen it, I highly recommend The Third Man. Old Welles movie. So effing good.

I found it on demand for free from my cable provider, thru Turner Classic Movies. They change the selection all the time so I sorta check it daily..

I'll check out The Third Man, haven't seen it. My favorite Welles movie so far is The Trial.

Figured as much and noted. I've seen a handful of Polanski flicks Chinatown included, I like his style and the subject matter he seems to like to cover...

Repulsion, The Pianist.. I really like the Tennant and actually I really like The Ninth Gate with Johnny Depp..

I highly recommend The Ghost Writer by RP. That movie is so effing good and rewatchable for me.

Most of the people I know said that it lacked soul. Trailers were cool enough but I have spent too much on films that were really uninspiring. No more superhero movies, anime adaptations and reboots in theatres.

Not sure why anime fans are such bitches when it comes to this movie. If you actually like anime you should be happy for the creators of the series to get more exposure and money. It will only help anime get more exposure and be taken more seriously among Western viewers.
