I liked Drive a lot. I ranked it as the second best movie of the year, for myself at least from what I've seen which has been limited. And I really like Ryan Gosling in general. I loved him in The Notebook. I have no balls I know. Anyway, while the music, cinematography, Brooks and Friedkin-eqsue violence in Drive were amazing, I felt the movie was a little too flat, namely because Gosling felt a little too flat and one dimensional throughout. Just my opinion. I liked what he was going for but wish I would have seen another dimension to him...yeah, the elevator scene was unreal, but something else to make me, I don't know, understand him more, like him more, see he wasn't just a brooding robot.
