What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

I saw Man of Steel too and I really enjoyed it. The action sequences are ridiculous and I liked the non-linear approach on Superman's beginnings.
I liked this much better than any of the Marvel superhero stories.

World War Z.

It was full of action and some has bull****, too. Especially the scene where they crash landed a few hundred feet away where they wanna be. I couldn't take the movie seriously after that. Started gigling. But I enjoyed it anyway.

The Heat. The funniest movie I've seen this year by far. If you like movies like, I love you, man, Superbad, Hit and Run, etc, you'll love it. Melissa McCarthy is so funny I'd **** her.

"The Place Beyond the Pines"

Great epic saga... had a nice pace to it... a bit slow at times, but it was absorbing... one of the best so far this year IMO.

I actually really liked it. But I'm a crazy *** film major. I think most people don't enjoy it cause they aren't used to non-narrative film. If you like Lynch type stuff, I'd recommend it. If not, you'll probably be bored ****less.

Ok took the boy to see the Conjuring. I went in not really knowing what to expect, other than it was another haunting movie. I was actually pleasantly surprised. It was good old fashioned creepy and scary. They didn't rely on special effects and blood to shock you, instead excellent use of music and silence and showing normal everyday occurrences that might or might not end up scaring the **** out of you. The best thing was they underdid the whole shocker moments, making each one more intense. Every time I thought "oh yeah here it comes", well it didn't. Then at just the right moment it did. Had several jump out of your seat moments. You know it is working well when you can hear all the nervous laughter from the 40-something guys in the audience as they try to trick themsleves into thinking they aren't really scared, when really they just want to pee their pants. I heartily recommend it.

I also couldn't really see why it got an R rating. No swearing at all, I mean one G-D in the whole movie, 0 F-bombs. No sex or revealing situations. Definitely some disturbing moments, but nothing like saw or hostel or any of the gross out horror movies. I guess it was just plain scary enough to warrant it, and that it was. In fact some of the scariest moment were when the characters could see the bad guy, and they didn't let you see it. If you have seen it, the slamming of the door in the girl's bedroom knocked me out of my chair. that was great.

If you let yourself get into the movie it will make you want to run out of the theater, then run right back in to see what happens next. Very well done.

Just saw "Silver Linings Playbook" - if you haven't seen it, you've gotto GO GET IT!!!!

Simply Brilliant!!!

Great movie. Bradley Cooper is one of my favorite actors. The Words (I think) was a great Bradley Cooper movie as well. Limitless was awesome too. And the Hangover movies. Hit and Run was a crack up. Another great Bradley Cooper movie.

I really want to see this movie, but since I won't be able to talk Mrs. Trout into going, and I'm sure as **** not going alone, I probably never will. You see, we made the mistake of going out to see "The Grudge" and I literally had trouble sleeping for the next month or so. I was scared to sleep in my room -- with my wife in bed with me. Ya, ya, The Grudge wasn't even that scary, but it was bad enough for me.

I have no idea why I want to see this movie so bad. I really don't.

I think the conjuring was way better than the grudge. From a story and character viewpoint and from a scary *** movie viewpoint. But the good thing about it is that it is a fun scare in the theater that doesn't follow you home.

Or does it?

Come to Reno. I would be happy to go see it again. Then you can have the whole drive home to think about all the nooks and crannies in your house where things can be hiding to clap at you.

You probably need to watch the trailer to get that. No spoiler.

I was supposed to see The Conjuring this afternoon but my babysitter's car broke down last night.

Despite the soft R I doubt my 8 year old son is ready for this stuff.

Yeah probably not, but it is a hell of a movie for a bunch of late teenage boys (16-18). My son and his friend loved it.

Watched the Conjuring last night. Crazy, non-stop suspense for most of the movie. Best horror flick, along with Sinister, that I've seen in years

Have you seen The Fourth Kind?.... scariest movie I ever saw, freaked me out for days and days.

Liked sinister and the conjuring a lot too.

Yeah, The Conjuring is a pretty good horror flick.

No idea how it got an R rating though.

Just saw The Conjuring last week.. hmm.. a bit disappointed to be honest... (given all the rave reviews I saw).

May be I've seen too many Asian Horror films.. but this was a leisurely train ride in comparison.
