next move is bench good players manufacture injuries, promise hope of the future to fans of lottery drawings and start filling the seats with cardboard cutouts
That's all I'm saying.Come to find out Lauri ages every 365 days. Move him now before its too late and he gets to 27!
At least Gay and Westrbook is a gimme.Buyout Gay, KO, and Westbrook
I’d pay Gay every penny owed this year and see if he’ll give some back from next year to get set free. Otherwise he’s riding pine the rest of the way.At least Gay and Westrbook is a gimme.
Or we can let Russ Cook just for the entertainment factorAt least Gay and Westrbook is a gimme.

I will just ask this. If Danny was blatantly tanking.. why did he keep both Lauri and JC.. our two main architects for the games we have won?It is possible that Sexton and the Finnisher make it difficult for Danny's obvious blatant tank trade, we just witnessed, to have as much success as he hopes it will. But gm's can force the coach to use g leaguers and rest the others in the name of development to get bad fast. I think this ends up either being a massive joke of a trade, and the Jazz still make the play in even if they lose it they are late lottery, even without those traded away helping the win column, or they rest the Finnisher Kessler etc so much to get a top pick that they barely win 8 more games. Meanwhile the Wolves pick for us probably got worse by subtraction getting rid of Dlo but they also got better adding a much smarter floor general to feed the post that has been getting the shaft all season there.
I still think Hardy is going to employ minute as a motivation tool. So Kessler still might have games where he is only getting 20 minutes because he isnt doing something Hardy wants of him, same with Sexton/Ochai.I will just ask this. However I think the main point of the move wasnt to tank (that is debatable though). It was to add value using the pieces that were not part of the future..and to force Hardy to throw some guys into the fire more.
Beasley is out. 14 FGA and 25 MIN per game to better use. (Lauri? JC? Ochai?)
Vando is out. More minutes for Kessler.
Conley is out. More minutes + starter role to Sexton. Remove the safety net, time to grow up. Push Lauri to become the team leader by sending out the previous one.
Are all those not future-looking moves?
As a rebuilding team why would you even consider trading away a 25 year old that's emerging as a potential superstar?I will just ask this. If Danny was blatantly tanking.. why did he keep both Lauri and JC.. our two main architects for the games we have won?

Last night was a good start for Sexton as the starting PGHere's another thing: IF Sexton is actually good, this trade shouldnt make us that much worse.
Still think you had to deal Clarkson to truly be bad enough to get past the Indys/Orlandos.
So on one hand I hope Sexton fails so the team can lose more, but I also hope he is good enough to elevate the team and have actual value as a starting PG.
Ehh, he certainly played well and I'm not going to bag on him, but the entire game was a blowout and he put up stats in a blowout.Last night was a good start for Sexton as the starting PG
