Is Burks about ready to return? I tweeted Jody but he didn't reply. Hubie was talking on ESPN as if Burks might not return this season.

About 3 or 4 times I've heard Burks listed as "out for the year" when watching the opposing team's feed on League Pass.

Obviously there is some bad information floating around.

I'm pretty sure they showed Burks working out near full speed before the game on ESPN Monday night.

The rush is that the season is almost over, the jazz are fighting for a playoff spot/positioning, I'm trying to win a bet that requires the jazz get to 42 wins, and hayward is dealing with injury issues.

He needs to come back asap

For the sake of your bet I hope he returns, but I think a full recovery is more important than getting back to lose to GS in 4 games.

I suspect if the Jazz had a few more wins that we would see Mr. Burks and even Mr. Exum play this year. But now it seems like why risk further injury.

We don't know what playoff spot we will be in or even if we will make the playoffs though.
Maybe if Burks comes back right now he helps us win a few more games, teams ahead of us start losing like crazy and the jazz end up playing okc or the clipps.

Nothing is set in stone at this point. The jazz should be trying to win as many games as possible. I believe the jazz are better with Burks than without. So bring him back and let's win as many games as possible and hope the teams above us fall apart and we avoid the warriors and spurs
 
Burks provided 15ppg off the bench.

The Jazz could use that, right?

Well said man. These are professional players, they make a living playing basketball. I don't see what good it does to come back from an injury, get fully healthy and not play until next season for the sake of not risking getting another injury. If the kid's healthy let him play and keep growing with the team.
 
My argument is don't rush him back if he's not 100 but if he's healthy and ready to go than play him

Burks hasn't even be cleared for practice yet.
 
Burks has played in 28 games this year and is getting paid 10,000,000.

So far he is on pace to make $357,000 a game

Hayward getting paid 15,409,000 for 66 games so far, or $233,478 a game.

Talk about wasted $$$ on Burks.

Well he was supposed to be ready between 6-8 weeks.
I think we might be at week 12 now. I don't think he will be rushed back.

I worry that he can go but they just are not playing him for some reason.

I wonder if Burks had good life insurance. Maybe his progeny is totally rolling in it right now.
 
Bring him back nice and easy, give him Johnson's 15 minutes a night. Amazing what a difference he makes to our bench (on paper at least)

If they're not playing him for some reason I would think it's maybe a set back? There's nothing league rules wise that says they have to keep everything up to date on where they're at as far as I know.
 
I got the sense early in the season, seems so long ago now, that Burke and Burks had something to prove. Like they got together and said "let's show the NBA we're NOT bench players!" and they actually seemed to play really well together and were doing pretty well and getting some points for the Jazz off the bench. Then injuries started to happen, lineups changed, then Burks got hurt, trade rumors surrounded Burke... Now we see stretches when the 2nd unit comes in and the Jazz don't score a ****ing point until the starters start rotating back in to the point that at least three starters are back on the floor.

We NEED Burks in the 2nd unit. 15 mother****ing points off the bench! Give me Burke and Burks! I want that.
