Who are you??

Alright bros, full timeline on how U Gotta Love It Baby became UGLI baby...

I was U Gotta Love It Baby since about 2008, I think. I'd seen people talking about GameFace's poker nights for about a year, but couldnt bring myself to meet up with weirdos from the internet. Then, GameFace started his league and it sounded too bad *** to turn down.

At the tourney TroutBum tells me I need to read General Discussion cuz that's where all the real ish goes down.

Couple months later I'm randomly reading a GD thread at like 3 AM and happen upon a PKM "Im a BAWSE, bow down bishes" type of post. Wasn't too familiar with PKMoe at that point other than I knew he was a huge Louisville fan. I PM PKM saying I would like to have a chat about his BAWSE'ry and see if I can "get in on that." He said that was kool with him so I drove down 2 days later to meet him and despite what everyone warned me he didn't rape or murder me.

Rape kit unused, I headed back to SLC to tie up some loose ends, then moved down to the STG to work for PKM.

Up to this point I only had like 650 posts on the new board (had like 700 posts in a couple years membership on the old board).

Once in the STG I started posting like crazay, then I downloaded the tap'r talk and it was game ovah.

So without gameface's poker league, Troutbum's suggestion, and PKM's BAWSEness there's no UGLI baby, no £¥£, no STG crew, no #n9, no UGLI forum, no BF League, no Dalamon, no BONGO, no Utah Jazz Newsfeed, no PKM & UGLI baby dynamic duo, none o' that ****.

Butterfly Effect bros.

Woah!! You is Dalamon???

Almost 35 years old
6'0"
I weigh about a half a metric ton
Born and raised in Utah
Visited all over the west, including a week in Alaska doing nothing but fishing (I think I got about 15 hours of sleep total over that week, but I literally don't remember the flight home)
Served a mission in Tegucigalpa, Honduras from 97-99
Married my high school sweetheart in 2000
Have 4 kids: Girls ages 9 and 3, boys ages almost 6 and almost 2
My kids activities took away my hobbies. Now I spend my time watching them play sports. My oldest daughter plays competition level soccer and my oldest boy plays just about every sport under the sun. When I happen to find some free time, I like to do anything outdoors and in the mountains.
I'm a Journeyman Electrician by trade. Thinking seriously about obtaining my Master Electrician license so I can finally fire (retire) my dad and take over the company.
I made the final table (top 5 overall finish) in Gameface's poker league. He should do that again.
Big time BYU fan. I think all Ute fans are mouth breathing, knuckle dragging, beer throwing, gas pumping, waste of my oxygen. They should be outlawed.

Damn, reading how many guys on this forum spent multiple years in Germany, I think I should start typing German now.
I've got a fun question for those: Did you guys feel safe in public in Germany?

Aber sicher

Aber sicher
Originally I never wanted to bring up any question like the one I asked, but since so many have already been over here... When being abroad previously in my life I twice got baited into a conversation about gun carrying by Americans. Needless to say the whole discussion was completely pointless, as neither party found the other's arguments valid...After that I totally avoided weapon discussions with Americans - And not that I have any prejudices, but just the risk of getting into that topic was so unpleasing :o That's why it itched so hard to ask about public safety in Germany, when the memory of the sentence "I wonder how you don't develop heart conditions, when you're not allowed to protect yourselves" came to mind!

Not sure how you peasants didn't figure this out earlier
So this is really UGLI'S alt? Or ís this a double edged joke that I'm too retarded to grasp?

Actually, you need to be more retarded to 'get' Dalamon's 'jokes.'

32. 6'4''...230-ish.

Lived in and around Toronto (North York, Mississauga) until I was 14. Dad took a job in the San Joaquin Valley in '95, and I lived and went to high school there. .

Where in the valley did you live?

Kaepernick went to Pitman, which didn't exist when I lived there (I submitted an entry for their colors/mascot...Apparently they weren't too keen on being called the Fighting Quail, and went with Pride. Lame.). I think my younger sister went to high school with one of his older siblings.

This.

I get this questions fairly often actually and I find it weird. Germany is a "First World" country, not a whole lot different than America. Most of the time everything is fine and most everywhere is as safe as anywhere here. In the big cities there are obviously more seedy areas, like in any metropolitan area. I spent a year in east germany as the wall came down, and there the most danger I ever felt was from the russian soldiers, as they were still occupying east germany when I first got there. I remember being at the Leipzig train station, which is freaking huge, and the missionary I was with was taking a picture of the building. Almost like out of nowhere 4 russian soldiers appeared and one took the camera. The missionary started to protest until he saw they were carrying AK47s or something similar, and all decked out in their winter gear. They took the film out of the camera (yeah I am that old) and gave him back his camera, and in bad german said "no pictures of train". They were not very happy to have people taking pictures of the infrastructure, even though it was literally weeks from the official Wiedervereinigung. Crazy.

But I never really felt threatened by Germans, per se. We were ordered to stay in our apartment for two weeks when I was in Berlin, as it was during the first Gulf War and Americans were being beaten up by skinheads, and we were near the base. But that was not really a normal situation.

I lived in Honduras from 99-01 and I stuck out like a sore thumb. But I felt as safe there as I did in the states. The things that happened to me are things that could, and have, happened here. I have had more guns pulled on me in the states than in Honduras. Honduras is third world. Felt perfectly fine. Use some common sense and I do not see the need to worry.

Born in 1977, 2oth of July in Çorum, Turkey. I live in Antalya now, but lived in İstanbul and Almaty, Kazakhstan also. I have degree in business administration, and working as CFO of natural gas distribution company which is monopol by law in the established city. Married last year, have no kids yet. I love playing paper and pen style RPG's 2nd edition dungeons and dragons, watching basketball, playing the bridge, dancing Argentine tango and playing Civilization 4 modpacks, especially Cavemen to Cosmos.

I believe in pantheism, not some x-dimension god. We are all and one alike, integral part of one greater being. I don't believe in religions, and I think religions are the reason we cannot step further. I am not here to judge any of you neither. I know this is a Mormon community. I respect that.

I was fan of Stockton and Malone since early 90's. I had a great sympathy for the Jazz. After Memo started playing here, I started to follow Jazz more, and became a fan eventually.

I really feel at home in this forum. Many intelligent posters, and really great humour sometimes as well. That's a piece of me, boom bitches!

What the heck? How many guns have you had pulled on you in the States?? I'm 42, and I've never had a single gun pulled on me. And you're talking plural.

One of the great games of all time. I haven't played the game in years, though, and I haven't tried many (any?) modpacks. Think I still have the game (although it's possible I sold it)... maybe I should try that one.
