I don't know about the (surprising) Lebron supporters on this forum, but I personally hope he NEVER wins a ring. I don't care if he gives away every penny he earns to charity. As long as I get to see that look of sad desperation he gets on his arrogant face every time he loses.

Agreed for the most part. The Decision thing was dumb, but he did give half the proceeds to charity. It has been two and a half years since and people still can't get over it.

It was dumb, I didn't know he donated half to charity tho, that makes me feel better about it. People just need someone to label the big bad wolf. People feel good for cheering against him because it makes them feel like they are a better person than him, and makes them feel like somehow they are fighting evil. LOL

Spurs only because I would rather the team that stomped the Jazz be the team that wins it all.... maybe to prove that they really were that much better of a team. Takes a tiny bit of the sting out of the series beatdown.

How did he mistreat people? He was a free agent and could do whatever he wants. He carried that team for years and they never surrounded him with players that could get that team a ring.

Well, he quit in the playoffs on the #1 seeded team. I'm sure the fans felt a little ripped off.

Reasons I don’t want the Heat to win and thus basically the only reason I’m interested in the Playoffs still:

1. I live in Ohio. I saw first hand how his leaving devastated this state’s fans.
2. The decision, but even worse, the absolute WWE event after with trash talking.
3. Consistent dumb crap they say and do (Making fun of a sick Dirk etc.).
4. One of the worst flopping teams in the league, lead by their big three, and they get most of the calls.
5. Dwyane Wade (dislocating Rondo’s arm, constantly barking at authority figures, on twitter scoffs at players that stay because of “loyalty”).
6. LeBron’s taking the easy way out by trying to stack the deck rather than joining one other good/great player with a great supporting cast. It cheapens the value of a championship to me as if he were collecting coins or something.
A. Watching the Mavs win last year was much more fulfilling to me because almost all of those players tried their whole careers on the teams they were on to win a championship rather than building a super team.
7. Basic idea of competition: from the earliest age on the playground you never put the two best players on the same team. They are on separate teams and compete against each other.

I understand he could have gone wherever he wants, and people should not dislike him because he has that right, but why in the hell would I like his team? Are there strong arguments to like his team besides he’s the best talent in the world (bandwagon argument). I respect his game for sure, but that’s where it ends for me. Go rest of the NBA except the Heat!

They had the best record and they won their division. That's all that matters yo..................................;) but seriously I'm sure he was so sick of carrying that team. Remember when they lost the conference finals to Orlando? That was probably the most amazing series I've ever seen anyone have. I think he averaged like almost fourty points and almost a triple double. That's just from memory. There was NOTHING else he could do and they still list that series. They never gave him the pieces

I browsed quickly through the responses in this thread, but besides RUCA and his busted response for why he wants Miami, who were the other ****s that want the Heat to win it? I'm seriously down with ANYBODY BUT THE HEAT.

Embarrassed the whole city with the 'Decision'?

Luckily Cleveland rebounded with the lottery last year, otherwise I think they'd still be feeling the sting.

I wish this were true, but I could show you many examples of the opposite.

My vote is for the Spurs. I'd like to see them steamroll everybody, and then watch the Jazz emulate their system and figure out how to beat them next year. I hope Corbin is studying them meticulously, and that he is a lot smarter than he appeared to be this year. I want OKC and Miami to lose confidence. I could see Miami blowing up their team in this off season and that would be fine with me.

They may get the team they want, but they won't win it all.

Hayward is the better player. For this reason I'm glad we didn't get George. George isn't the reason they will win, if they do take the championship.

On the contrary, if they do win, he'd be a very big reason they do. Did you see how he guarded Wade & switch on LeBron? He may not be an offensive force, but he is certainly 1 of the top wing defenders right now - no question about it. Guarding Wade/LeBron without fouling is most certainly one of the most important aspect of the match-up.

Like most of you, I voted for the Spurs. This is team basketball; commitment to system; commitment to defense. It's impossible for me to root against this if my team isn't playing against them. I want them to pull the hearts out of OKC fans.

I also hope they kill OKC because I want to prevent the their dynasty from starting for as long as possible.

I'm hoping they lose big as well and Sam Presti suddenly realizes he can't get away with not having a low-post scorer. Meaning he'll let Harden walk or extend & trade him to us for Kanter.

Either the Pacers or Philly out of the East. I am about even on SA & OKC out of the West. I'd put Pacers number 1 because they haven't won an NBA title.

Spurs won't win it. I'm surprised how few votes OKC received. They're one of the only teams left that are entertaining to watch. Everyone else is a snooze-fest.

....I suspect your snoozing is more the result of your "cocaine" habit than the play of the Spurs!

I'm on the Spurs bandwagon. But nobody can beat them, anyway. Only question left is how many games they actually lose between now and Naismith. I'm guessing 2.

Never thought in a million years I'd be cheering for the Lakers. But I am this year. I don't mind anyone winning it this year, if it's not Heat (Karma1: LeBron & the Decision) or Thunder (Karma2: Clay Bennet stealing the team from Seattle & Karma3: Fisher shafting us).

World Peace! (Pun intended)

After tonight's game I have decided OKC doesn't have a chance to beat the Spurs. They shoot too many jump shots and not enough easy baskets in their half-court offense. Their defense isn't that great either. If Kobe didn't ISO half of the Laker's possessions down the drain, the Lakers would be up 3-1 in the series.

Durant is super clutch though (despite missing those two ft's back to back) in last second shots in the playoffs thus far.
