What's new

Who here works 40 hours a week or more?

Including the drive time between jobs, I'm at least 45 a week. And it sucks big time right now. I walk out the door and start sweating, knowing it's only getting worse as the day goes on. Oh the joys of blue collar work.

My wife hasn't worked in 15 years when she left Hooters.
I go to work about 12 - 15 hours per week.

I spent about 3 years of my life in my mid-20's working about 90 hour weeks.. never since.

What?? Are you serious right now??

Eh, my department makes the company about 500,000 a month. Since I am the boss I have a good amount of downtime. I just delegate and answer emails all day.

I think he meant it sucks for us.

eh..... bingo??

I work around 48 hours/week.

no believe you.. = me

My hours are very unpredictable. Anywhere between 30 and 65 depending on what's going on. The SVP of my department is pretty hands off so as long as everything and everyone under me is doing what they should he lets me do what I want.

The business park that I work in is about 5 minutes from my house; which after years of commuting into NYC makes all the difference in the world.

Back when I worked for a cabinet company there were 45-50 hour weeks. I don't know how you guys do it.

Oh yeah, I typically average 60-70 a week. During busy times I'll go 90-100, but that's only for like 2-3 weeks.

Im volunteering ~28 hours of labour a week, taking 12 hours of courses a week, and spending most of my off-time studying. Making zero profit this summer-- it's killing me innards.

In the summertime, I work around 75-80 hours per week. Winter time is anywhere from 25-40, depending on the week. Like Hantlers said, people complaining about a 50 hour work week don't really have much to complain about...

I run a whitewater rafting company, so most of the year is just spent getting ready for the 12 week busy season. Right now I am just in the midst of the busiest stretch.
